Electric Folding Mirros

Hi,

 

im a new owner and everything is fantastic with my car but one quick question....

 

Its a GT pack and has the folding mirrors button by the mirror adjustment knob but it doesnt do anything. The mirrors keep moving when I get in and out of the car and shut the doors, if I have the switch should I just check the fuses, Im hoping it wasnt taken out to hide a fault...

Do you mean the mirrors fold themselves when you lock/unlock the doors? In that case it may have been modified - the standard car only folds the mirrors when you use the button. There are some threads around here about this - it's not an easy mod to make, and it may be that whoever did this had to disable the button to get it to work.

I read that as if the glass moves when you shut the doors not the mirror casing....

 

If this is the case then checking the fuse would be the first thing.

Should have explained better sorry.

 

Mirrors were moving slightly when I closed the doors so I thought they were just loose. They are folding themselves in and out nicely now.

As far as Im aware the glass movement has nothing to do with the doors opening/closing?
