hotrain69 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Hi, Can anyone confirm whether it is possible to swap the leather electric GT seats from an MY07 GT model into an 04 non GT model? Is the wiring there for the movement of the seats. Am not worried about the heated part, just need to know if the seats can be adjusted. thanks. Quote
martinmac Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I have GT seats in my non GT roadster, ESR couldnt make the heated seats work. Quote
hotrain69 Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 I have GT seats in my non GT roadster, ESR couldnt make the heated seats work. But to just get the electric movement to work was easy??? be great if that was the case! Quote
martinmac Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 That was fine bud, it works with no problems. Quote
hotrain69 Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 That was fine bud, it works with no problems. Excellent, i guess there's just a plug at the bottom of the non GT seat to plug in the electrics? Quote
martinmac Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 It should be that simple. Phil tried to get the heated seats working but it was a non starter, to much additional wiring involved. Quote
sunset350z Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 So you're going for the aftermarket seats then Quote
hotrain69 Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 nice one! yeh hopefully get something new in there soon! Quote
IanS16 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Maybe the heated seats could be something Marzman could look at? He's an electrical engineer isnt he? Quote
Chris`I Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 The wiring isnt there in the loom to get the heated seats working. Thats why I havent sold my OEM heated seats on, its a nightmare trying to get them to work. Movement is easy, even if the wiring isnt there, you just need a 12v feed to it. Heated part is much harder as there are a few relays and thermostats that apparently arent on the seats, but hidden away, which stops it being an easy swap out Quote
AndWood Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Does anyone know for sure if the connection to be able to move the seats is already there, even though it is supposed to be easy to wire up plug and play is more my kind of thing. Quote

It's just important to get the movement for driving position. But I'm pretty sure the wiring is just the plug and play at the bottom of the non gt seats! Quote
martinmac Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I have a spare plug under my seats which was from the heated seats so the movement will be a separate plug. Unfortunately I dont have access to the car to check 100%. Quote

martinmac Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 They are all under the seat bud, I just have the one hanging loose for the heaters. They should be plug and play. I will be in the car tomorrow evening so will have a good look. Quote
