Tyre Price-Am I doing Something Wrong?

I've just had a look at getting two replacement tyres and the price's seem to have doubled from last year! Whats the deal?

 

I'm after 275/35/20 These are the sites I used:

Last year I was getting them for about half that price iirc.

35 seems chunky for a 20. I bet that makes a difference to price.

+1 camskill was the cheapest for me. Very good for Falkens

Note: all tyres have gone up recently, I believe they are concerned about the supply of rubber thus driving the price up

I'm getting new tyres fitted today,

 

2 x 245/45/R18 - falken 452

2 x 225/45/R18 - falken 452

 

Cost is at £467 including fitting and balancing, i thought this was expensive but it turns out it's quite reasonable

The mark-up on tyres just now is incredible!

That is a good price, I don't think you will get any better for (4) tyres

£104 & £140 each respectively, So you are doing alright for 18's
