aka350z Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 So how much would it cost me to turbo or supercharge the zed ? Quote
H5 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 All in, including internals I think you're looking at £15k+ for reasonable power. Quote
Andy Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 +1 £15k seems to be the minimum amount for a decent install if you are to pay a company to fit it for you. Quote
aka350z Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Thats more than the car how comes so much ? Quote
H5 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 The car is a £30k+ car and you're going to be adding more than 50% of it's new power. So it's not as bad as it sounds. It's also not been done over here as much as it has in the States so it costs more to do. Quote
Ian Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Supercharger is cheaper & safer on standard internals. Quote
H5 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Little difference, it's the internals and the mapping that cost the money AFAIK so you're looking at the difference in kit costs. Which in the scheme of £15k isn't going to make a huge amount of difference. Quote
aka350z Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 so what you looking at on price and who does it Quote
Sarnie Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 If you stay at or under 400bhp you won't need internals therefore reducing the cost significantly............ Quote
H5 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 If you stay at or under 400bhp you won't need internals therefore reducing the cost significantly............ Agreed, but you're probably still looking at £8-10K Quote
aka350z Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Under 400 is fine lol so any one know any companys that have done it before ? Quote
H5 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Do a search for APS and Power Enterprise turbo kits.... Quote
Ian Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Under 400 is fine lol so any one know any companys that have done it before ? Sarnie Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 If you stay at or under 400bhp you won't need internals therefore reducing the cost significantly............ Agreed, but you're probably still looking at £8-10K Of course, £8k is really scraping the bottom of the barrell too............ Quote
