I got a new set of hoses recenty but not yet got round to fitting them. Is it difficult? Is the radiator drain tap easy to access?

 

Cheers in advance for any advice offered.

Hmmmmmm...... yes, forgot about the airlock!!! Just needed to top up the coolant!

 

Just need to locate the air lock valve when you refit and squeeze the pipes to get rid of any air!!

The top hose should not lose too much fluid but the other one might cause a bit of leakage uness you're really quick! I'll have a go at the weekend. Thanks for the suggestion. :thumbs:

I'm sure once you've changed the hoses, you can just let the engine run on idle, leave the rad cap off, and top up with coolant. All the air bubbles will escape through the open rad that way. Give the bottom hose a sqeeze a few times as well. ;)

What coolant do you recommend for topping up - do you use Nissan's own?
