Muddy Posted February 14, 2009 Share Posted February 14, 2009 Does any body know if there is a bonnet damper on the market for a carbon bonnet? The bonnet dampers I have currently fitted are quite stiff on the metal bonnet, no doubt they will be too strong for the carbon bonnet. Any recommendations? Stew Posted February 15, 2009 Share Posted February 15, 2009 Something worth remembering is that generally an aftermarket carbon bonnet weighs the same as the aluminium bonnet already fitted. 3fiddyz posted a link to a strut company yesterday and I'm sure they used to supply ESR. My current dampers are far too stiff, I can feel the pressure on the metal bonnet when I try and close it so don't even want attempt on a CF bonnet. I'll have a look at Mark's post.
