quicks
Hi all, Have just ordered a Gun metal 06, hopefully should arrive in a few weeks.!! I understand there is a run in period of about 1200 miles, below about 4000rpm I guess? Just wondered if you recommended changing the oil then? Or do most people just wait until the 9000 mile service. Cheers
Guest prescience
You can NEVER change your oil too often; its one of the best mods you can do. Having said that most people do wait until 9000 for a first change and don't experience any ill effects. You will do well to choose the oil you change to at 9k wisely though
Liam's Z
It's a good idea to change the oil after a few thousand miles imo. New engine at the end of the day with new moving parts. Saying that, it's all under warranty ... P.s don't worry about the smell of the engine, mine stank early on

Removed
I went syntethic a bit later on (18k miles) but it does seem to make quite a difference tbh
quicks
Cheer guys Stealer mumbled something about £140 for an oil change, then £300 or so for the P1 (first service?), had a quick search through a few posts on here before I ordered the Z, and I thought £120 or so for the P1 upto £300 for the more expensive one, P3 I think it was? Get the impression he's taking me for a ride here...?
