Kuro Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Hi folks, As well as the plethora of weird sounds that my interior makes, something else has been bugging me for ages I have a few scratches on the door, the armrest really, just by the switches; don't suppose anyone has any insider tips on how to remove these??? Thanks all Quote
Chesterfield Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Im in the same boat. I reckon its been caused by the key when exiting the car. Ive not got round to adressing these yet, and cant think of anything yet. Quote
AndyC Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Me too (trying and failing to get a bird cage in - don't ask, wasn't even mine!!!), its really doing my head in! Quote
350Znismo Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 If its scrated on the plastic housing (that the switches fit into) then they are painted (yes the black plastic is painted and you can get special paint that is easy to spray) Quote

davidbaker8130 Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 I've been looking for this paint as well. I saw a guy on TV repairing a door card which he then spray painted - looked immaculate when he had finished. Where can we get it from?? Quote
350Znismo Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I will talk to my old company and get them to send me some, we used to spray the BMW mini inside. Quote

WoREoD Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I was talking to an autoparts chap today and he said they used to stock something called Vinyl Spray Formula 40 but with the prevalence of leather and cloth seats they couldn't get it any more. Google doesn't turn anything up (in the UK). My shoe polish experiment didn't work, but I've just bought some black shoe dye (recommended by the autoparts chap) and will experiment with that this weekend... Cheers! Quote
