ab350z Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 www.odopo.com for flights www.laterooms.com for hotels then use trip advisor for reviews. Found flyglobespan are pretty decent from Aberdeen Stew. Flight/hotel deals to Barca they were cheapest by a long shot when I went a year or so ago. Quote

mbs Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 If you don't want to travel too far, can recommend the Victoria at Bamburgh, great food and rooms and the walks and scenary are fantastic. Quote
Stew Posted July 5, 2008 Author Posted July 5, 2008 Either abroad from a scottish airport or something different. Alton towers? Spa weekend? It's around her birthday and we usually go away as that's the only way I could guarantee being off work. Different now but wouldn't ming nipping away. I'll have a scout around. Quote

ab350z Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 Stew, this is quite a good tool for the budget airlines if your dates are flexible - http://flightchecker.moneysavingexpert.com/ Quote
Stew Posted July 5, 2008 Author Posted July 5, 2008 Just keep chopping and changing..... spent a fortune on the house and can't decide if I have enough money to go away or not...... Quote
Stew Posted July 5, 2008 Author Posted July 5, 2008 ha ha! Good point.... I lent my tent to someone and they haven't given me it back yet! Quote
stanski Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 Do what I did mte - buy your tent from Costco - go on holiday - we did'nt actually like the tent in the end so I took it back - got the money back.... Cheap holls!! Of course it peed it down all the time (bit like a Zed meet ) Quote
Zummertor Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 For a tent go over to a festival site day after it finishes e.g. Glastonbury. People buy a tent for weekend and just leave them and hundreds of them, a real headache for organisers as few charities want the hassle of collecting them so they are usually quite happy for you to collect a few for local DofE or other events, quality varies from Halfords own to Blacks etc.. Bound to be some festival or other in your area soon. Quote
