If this is the case why would my bike fail the mot without the baffle fitted ?

The rules for the mot are a little flexible but state that the noise level of the exhaust must be appropriate to the car.

on bikes it will only get a "legal" stamp on it if it is below the legal db level so they produce them with bungs to achieve this, then its up to the owner if he fits them between mot's

 

i assumed cars were the same, plus these exhausts are probably not made originally for the uk market and may be made to adhere to country of origin's laws

Bung off. Hacksawed a small slither out which releived the tightness and from there just needed some gentle persuasion. Job done. Damn its loud.

so is this exhaust, a true dual exhaust? if so i guess it wont fit my my07 because of the different lengh y pipe ?

dude, that is exactly the same as my ebay exhaust, but more expensive...........wonder if it sounds exactly the same?

Glad Laws did a good job! Ali Law nicked my car for a shot the first time I was in. They look after me well in there and the workmanship is always top notch.

 

They get a few Zeds in there by all accounts.....
