Replacing roof trim strip

As you can see from my photo, the roof trim strip on my car is coming loose, slowly getting worse over time.

 

Am I right in thinking that the only official way to replace it is with this whole part?

Has anyone found an alternative way of replacing just the plastic/rubber strip that's coming loose?
