The carbon bonnet has threaded inserts and the three OE latches are solid enough. But at 80-90 (on a track obviously 😉) you can see the bonnet starting to deflect upwards. Not unusual for carbon. I guess its a case of have them and not need them over need them and not have them. They won't stop the bonnet from deflecting as I went through the same thought process when I installed them but you do get a bit more peace of mind Quote
