Sim Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Cool, interesting read, I haven't ever done any advanced driving courses but I feel the many DWYB drifting days I've done at Santa Pod has improved my day to day confidence and car control. 1 Quote

docwra Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Agree with the bit about our natural instincts being the main reason we crash - if you panic youre not going to save the situation, if you can train people to have a more measured reaction they will invariably be more comfortable driving at, or even over the limit. The first time you steer into a slide and apply power without even thinking about it is a magic moment I see it a lot on wet trackdays, the guys that used to drift race are always the fastest on the circuit regardless of what they are driving as they arent scared of losing control, with proper racers you dont even notice its wet 1 Quote
