ZMANALEX Posted November 20, 2018 Share Posted November 20, 2018 There is more than one type of Stillen air intakes as the long pipe type air filters sit low behind the bumper. Both have pros and cons The short pipe type (with the open filters in the engine bay) suffers from heat soak and a loss of power is evident. The long pipe type can suffer from water intake if the filters are too low and if you hit flooded water then water intake is a possibility causing engine failure due to an engine hydraulic situation.
