Plenum advice

I am a new Z member. With one eye on mods,I have seen references to plenum spacers. Could someone tell me what they are for and what are the benefits, also how easy is the mod. All the best Mac.

The plenum spacer mod you see on here is an insert that raises the upper plenum approx 8mm, it deals with a perceived design short fall where one cylinder gets less than optimal air. It's one of the classic 350z breather mods (along with exhaust, high flow cats, de-cats) that are done prior to an up rev remap to squeeze a few more ponies out the engine.

Here's an example - https://h-dev.co.uk/product/h-dev-350z-intake-plenum-spacer-kit-vq35de/?v=79cba1185463 - shop around the traders on here, there is bound to be a deal to be had somewhere.

Thanks for the info. I think mine is a standard 2006 gt apart from a Cobra stainless exhaust. I might go for a re map at some stage but I think this mod should be done first. I probably won't bother with cats as I don't want things getting too expensive. How much does it usually cost to fit the spacer and can you recommend anyone near Merseyside and North Wales for this and the re map. All the best Mac.
