I bet this has been discussed before but I can't find it using search.

My throttle pedal has a "stop" just before it is fully to the floor. Just like a kick down on an automatic, but mine is a manual.

Is this usual. Is there any purpose for it?

HI ALT,

its not usual i would say. Maybe there´s something wrong with the bearing where the throttle pedal is assembled in,......check it

It may be one of the below or perhaps all three: ;)

It is a speed limiter.

It is a fuel saving economy device.

It is to stop you wearing out the carpets.
