StephenG Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Hi there all My Z is getting a car shoot next Tuesday, and I urgently need to get it absolutely spankingly clean before then - including the engine bay, which can't be sprayed because of all the supercharger electrics being 'bare' (i.e. ECU would die if you took a hose to the bay in general) Anyone know a top-notch car valeter/cleaner who can do the intricate/oily bits as well, preferably in the Sussex area? Cheers! Stephen Quote
M13KYF Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 may be worth asking your question here Stephen for the best results. A few professionals are on there. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ Quote
StephenG Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 Wow - that's helpful - cheers Mike. Would certainly like a referral though; someone people may have used, or at the least seen their work. Anyone? Quote
martinmac Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Stevie040 isnt a million miles away and did a great job on mine. Quote
StephenG Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 Yep - and he's done mine already - but I don't think he does interiors or engine bays Quote
Ebized Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I seem to recall 'Stevie 350Z' had his Kuro ZED done by a outfit in Leatherhead and that it looked the d's-b's. Worth a pm? Quote
bronzee Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 If you have time, perhaps have a go yourself. Can you put up a picy of the engine bay, then we can give you tips. Is it really filthy? When I'm grooming engine bays, I use lots of very long handles fine paint brushes for the rubber piping, and gently brush the product on. A few bigger brushes, that are slightly damp to get off dust. Can give you a few more tips once pics if you like. Quote
jonathan73 Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Craig Mudd - www.muddydetail.co.uk will certainly have the skills to help but may not have the time. His own car (Scooby) is a multi award winning machine so you can be assured he's good. Oh and he also does mine regularly! Quote
Chesterfield Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Having seen Criags work at a photoshoot, I'll second the above. Very reasonable prices for a full detail and he certainly makes a thorough job from what Ive seen. Im hoping to find a location and get him booked myself prior to show season. You can find shots of Craigs work along with others on the detailing world website Quote
