Need to see it from further back to visualise the whole car

 

Also it's all down to personal preference- I'm not a big debadge fan especially on the front of a zed

Yeah once you notice the difference on cars with spacers and cars without you can never un-see it!

What are the legalities on trimming the plate? Do you just have to leave an x mm border?

 

So long as you dont mess with the letter spacing you should be "ok". I've used fancyplates.com advanced builder in the past to order slimmed down non-standard plates and never had any issues (I've never tried trimming them myself tho).

 

You'll need a private plate though with less characters to make it really work unfortunately.

The rules are as below:

So if you bought A1 AAA your plate could be much smaller than M999 MMM. The number 1 is allowed to be 14mm as it would look weird at 50mm.

 

Just worked it out roughly, A1 AAA all legal, would be a minimum plate of 302mm by 101mm, A999 AAA would be 460mm by 101mm
