BigPoch Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Hi Guys, anyone know any nice scenic routes near the west midlands where i can give the car a push and enjoy the views? Thanks Quote
Alpinaman Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I used to drive between Derbyshire and Solihull weekly as my fiance lived there... The roads from Lichfield to Asbourne to Buxton are nice, quick but only a few scary bits..... Plenty of roads to dive off inbetween too,and the odd pub for light refreshments if needed.. Quote
davey_83 Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 (edited) My favourite stretch is the old Warrick Road from Hockley Heath to Hatton. You tend to get nice views over hill passed, however Coleshill to Atherstone is good and over looks Birmingham & Solihull. Edited February 6, 2017 by davey_83 Quote
Mopedmark Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 straight through brum up the soho road, you will see everything the world has to offer Shropshire is your place, head to Bridgenorth then after that you could go anywhere, loads of good biking roads so they will do nicely for the Z Quote
RavenDW Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Could always have a go on the Cat and Fiddle if you're feeling brave Quote

SHEZZA Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 (edited) and you'd be lucky to manage that, as we found out at the peaks weekend last year. Edited February 7, 2017 by SHEZZA Quote
