Car cover right thng ??

I thought I was doing the right thing by fitting a car cover, while my garage was being used for store. Building work going on. I bought a storm force cover. Excellent cover copes with the wind and rain well. BUT not CATS just noticed that they are using the cover to sharpen their claws. Nice tares in the cover now, and more annoying loads of scratches on the bodywork. Grr. I dont even have a cat.

We have a dog, the cats tease him. Thought of doing a few things, but they would be illegal. Clearing the garage. Looks like a few trips to the tip is on the cards.

Not sure on price and as far as effectiveness, YRMV, but there's plenty of legal kitty-friendly substances that you can spray on your cover should deter them, but won't harm them.

That's odd. I've been using a cover for about three years in a road with plenty of feline residents, but never once had this problem. I have woken up a few times to paw prints on the cover (which wipe off easily) but they've never scratched it. It's pretty normal cat behaviour though - our two have wrecked the side of our sofa. :)

Cats can do what they like now, got the garage cleared. So now its in there, but got to watch out for mice now. Perhaps I should get a cat.

This is beginning to sound like that nursery rhyme...
