jamiebridge Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Im tempted to try and find some burnt exhaust tips to replace the standard cobra chrome ones, whats peoples thoughts on this? Im assuming if i find the correct measurement i can just take the old ones off and bolt some new ones on? I'm not sure if it will look a bit tasteless, i guess i could always switch them back. My zed is gunmetal with bronze rota gtrs. Quote
mattross1313 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Burnt tips look good at all times IMO. I have them on my ARK and they look great Quote
Randy_Baton Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 (edited) How are the tips held on? pretty sure its not a bolt on. I have a broken cobra back box for sale so if you want to try getting the finish yourself on a spare set let me know. Edit... they look welded on to me Edited September 6, 2016 by Randy_Baton Quote

However I think it might be a struggle to find some exact fit burnt ones to replace them as cobra don[t do a burnt tip. i[m guessing (yet to measure) that the pipe is around 60mm. I wonder if the invidia ones fit and if those are available separately. Edit: just seen your edit.. damn it, im going to double check anyway later. Edited September 6, 2016 by jamiebridge Quote

jamiebridge Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 I had a look under the car today and it seems the tips are removable on mine. Maybe it differs from production year. I will probably remove them and try it myself with a blowtorch. Quote
