Hi guys,

Unfortunately im looking for a new engine for the zed. Somehow mine has managed to blow a hole in one of its exhaust valves, which sent bits down into the cylinder and ruined the cylinder.

I would prefer a refurbished engine, so please let me know if anyone knows where i can source one. Otherwise i would consider second hand.

My car is a UK 2005GT

Looking for a long block.

Cheers

Peter

Hello Peter,

Not sure on a refurbished engine although someone posted this earlier about a company who may be able to help but I cannot recommend them as I personally know nothing about them: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/110010-nissan-350z-v8-conversion/

Traders though who may be able to help you get a good used condition running engine are zmanalex, Emperor Tuning & Clark Motorsport although there maybe other traders on here who can help that I'm not aware of. Links below.

Emperor Tuning: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/232-emperor-tuning/

Clark Motorsport: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/207-clark-motorsport/

Good luck & hope that helps.

My main concern with a second hand engine is its history and reason for it being sold.

GreenLandy, Was the engine removed from your own car?

I could look into having it collected, or i do have access to a flatbed and some ratchet straps :p

  • 3 weeks later...

I have a full engine gearbox etc, anything you need for it to run, i have a video of it running, its still in the car and can be viewed running if you wish to see it as proof, runs smoothly,

The link is below of a video on youtube of the engine running, if youd like me to send another video with some proof its mine etc then i can arrange that, the engine has 53000 miles on it from a 2003 model. Pm me if you want to know more

Thanks

Nick
