Mapped - fuel question

Not for the Zed but Skyline.

 

This is where I find my engine will go pop

 

So I bought it in Ireland where they dont have super unleaded and the dud I bought it from said it was mapped to 95 ron.

 

My question is and I dont think it will hurt to use super unleaded but would it cause harm if mapped to run on lower octane?

 

Also is it possible to map to lower octane or was the guy full of BS?

 

Any help would be much appreciated as ever you lovely people.

Easy to map for whatever you want. Personally on any performance car I wouldn't run anything other than Super, and no it won't cause harm to run higher octane fuel on something mapped for less.

Just run a couple of tanks of super unleaded through it before you do get it remapped , which you will
