Minimum brake disc thickness

What's the minimum brake disc thickness?

I'd love to upgrade my brakes to something fancy but funds really aren't allowing it at the moment so if like to know the minimum brake disc thickness.

Also what's the process for for changing pads when leaving the discs? Seems there is a little lip so would I need to these skimmed first?

I know the rears are 20.2mm min thickness , i cant recall the fronts off the top of my head, I'll need to check the fsm tomorrow

Brembo rotor min is 28 front and 20.2 rear.

 

A set of Rotors will see off at least 3 sets of pads for road use.

 

Very easy to take a small lip off in place if required.

 

Very normal to fit a set of pads to a rotor with a small lip.
