Oil pan spacer

Just thinking about my trip to the ring ( attempt 2 ) this year and was looking in to this little mod .

 

Any thoughts on this is it a good cheep upgrade .

The extra volume will help with oil temps a little but I doubt more than a few degrees, and it will also help cut the worry when it comes to dipstick miss reading.

Do you have an oil cooler fitted Alan?

Fit it, but remember and extend the oil pick up.

 

Any decent manufacturer will supply a pick up spacer and longer bolts with the sump pan spacer.

No oil cooler fitted so this will be just for more volume .

Yes the ones I have had a look at have the spacer for the sump and the pick up .

if I was buying mine again I’d go for one with a place for a temperature sensor. You might want to add an Oil temperature gauge.
