To the OP; need? No. Your wheels will work perfectly well without spacers.

Don't understand the ruined handling comments. I was on standard suspension with 20mm front and 25mm rear and did a laser alignment after fitting and it felt great.

 

Ok you sometimes had a little tram lining on certain sections of road but not that bad at all.

 

Getting it re aligned is a must though.
