No not mine thank goodness, but thanks for asking. My son bought a Pearl white 2002 import last September, having only covered only 71000 miles, it started with a oily smell through the heater vents which then led to smokey tailpipes then ending up with bottom end bearing gone. Hopefully somebody is getting back to me tomorrow with availability and price on a replacement.

I'm pleased to say that I have found an excellent engine, courtesy of Ewen at Clark Motorsport which will be dispatched tomorrow and hopefully the Z will be up and running next week.

let us know who puts the new motor in for you. Just in case i have to cross the same bridge at some point.

 

stupid dipstick means oil in the zeds always a little on the low side and i'm starting to get "the fear"

The chap who has removed the engine and replacing is called Martin. He builds rally car engines for a living. A very knowledgeable guy who knows his way around an engine. His unit is by Stonehouse in Gloucester. Are you Gloucestershire based?.

bottom end seems a common cause of death with the engine
