R88RPE Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Hello. My airbag light is constantly flashing on the car now, the pattern is one short flash followed by two long flashes. Can anyone help me find out what this code means? Many thanks! Quote
R88RPE Posted October 11, 2015 Author Posted October 11, 2015 I forgot to mention I have used the airbag light reset procedure and it just comes straight back Quote
Gudzy Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Check if there is anything under the seats that might have disturbed the connections. Disconnect the plastic connectors under the seats, reconnect them and then do the reset procedure again. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes, however you really need to get a code to sort this if it is not a loose connection, so a better procedure is to find out what codes are present before clearing them. Instead of turning the key off the fourth time, leave it on. A different blink pattern will appear and tell you which unit or units the diagnostic unit thinks are at fault. These patterns are shown in the Service Manual beginning on page SRS-34. Alex. Quote
R88RPE Posted October 11, 2015 Author Posted October 11, 2015 I can't find the codes in the service manual. I'll have to wait till I have access to a pc instead of my tiny bloody phone screen! Thanks guys Quote
R88RPE Posted October 11, 2015 Author Posted October 11, 2015 Would someone be able to help me identify this code please? https://youtu.be/rdrm4SHoAOM Quote
R88RPE Posted October 11, 2015 Author Posted October 11, 2015 Fixed the issue. I contacted a Nissan mechanic I know and he told me to cut the plugs off airbag wires under the drivers seat and solder them together. Apparently they cause a resistance Quote
HEADPHONES Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 If that doesn't work it could be the clock spring airbag thingy behind the steering wheel. Had mine fail earlier this year. An independent may be able to source a 2nd hand one and fit for around £100 Quote
