andy10v Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Probably a silly question; What is the best home use diagnostic software for working on a 350z? For Audi I use VAG-COM, which gives loads more information, measuring blocks, sensor readings, solenoid testing, logging etc compared to a hand held code reader. What is the Nissan equivalent? Quote
Stutopia Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 There's some chinese knock offs on fleabay of Consult, it'd be interesting to read a review on here. Quote
andy10v Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 Consult III. Thanks, had a quick look online, I presume the £200 ebay ones are copies? (do they work?) Genuine for £1500+! Is Nissan DataScan II a more affordable alternative? http://www.nissandatascan.com/ Quote
andy10v Posted September 2, 2015 Author Posted September 2, 2015 Thanks Alex, what would you suggest getting? Quote
ZMANALEX Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Thanks Alex, what would you suggest getting? None, as you really do not have a justified use for this. Consult 3 is the answer to your original question, however it is to expensive for your needs. Remind me what exactly you are trying to do and why you think you require this diagnostic tool. Alex. andy10v Posted September 2, 2015 Author Posted September 2, 2015 Not trying to do anything right now, I just found diagnostic software much more useful than a basic code reader for troubleshooting, and necessary for some jobs. Nissan DataScan 2 for 16 pin with Constult 2 protocol is £30, I should have a spare OBD2 lead kicking about so might be the best option for now. Quote
