Alex350z Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Sounds ace, i went with the resonated system. Yours is definitely louder! Quote
gushie Posted July 27, 2015 Author Posted July 27, 2015 I toyed with the idea of what to go for - but then decided sod it go lairy. Both resonated and non-resonated are beautiful, I'm not going to butter-it-up the non-res does drone; went to the coast the other day and at 60mph in 6th it does yer head in at times. But when on the moors where those were recorded it's lovely. Quote
brillomaster Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 the sound will mellow a bit as the system cokes up a bit inside, which will reduce the drone a little. alternatively, stay in 5th when cruising! Quote
Justthejedi Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Yep, the drone goes after you get past 60mph! Quote
Payco Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 sounds ok. Get shot of that bumper car aerial though mate and the car will look so much better. Quote
benjy88 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 God that sounds nice. I really must change my silly K1 for one of these... Quote
mouthwash Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 You know what exhaust you really want Benjy Quote
gushie Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 I've not changed the bee sting because I was told a stubby affects radio reception. Quote
Payco Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 garbage. Who told you that ?. Change it buddy, will look better and doesn't effect your radio whatsoever unless you are planning on driving it on the moon in which case you may struggle to pick up a signal. Look how many members have stubbys. Quote
brillomaster Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 That depends on the stubby... I had a cheapo one from ebay which snapped just above the screwfit, understandably radio reception was poor! it also had to be drilled out of the base, which was nerve racking! replaced it with a Honda RDX aerial and the reception was spot on. £13 or so off the traders on here, its a no brainer. put a tiny dab of copper grease on the threads as well, stops moisture getting in and rusting the threads. Payco Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 (edited) Contact Tarmac (trader on here) for your stubby. Cheapest mod you can do. As brillomaster has correctly pointed out don't buy a crap one off fleabay. Edited July 28, 2015 by Payco Quote
benjy88 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 You know what exhaust you really want Benjy You're not getting rid are you!?!?!? Quote
Bodyboarder81 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Not a chance! Plenty more to buy though. About time you changed your exhaust again isn't it ? Quote
