  1. when it was up on the ramp the mechanic shock the mid pipe and it rattled... would shaking it cause the heatshield to rattle if that was the cause? (im not even sure where the heatshield is located lol)
  2. Think that's what the bits are called anyway lol. Can be old as long as its mot worthy. I had a weld job done on mine a few months ago and there's now a rattling from inside so time to replace me thinks. Old and OEM is fine as the car is for sale as soon as I locate my new beast :-)
  3. Thanks, yup I need to get some more up. The spacers I will sell seperately once the car has gone. Im leaving them on there at the moment as i think it makes the car look more impressive for viewings (I will of course give the buyer the option of with or without). If they end up being available I will give you first dibs Mav

Can any of you recommend anyone local to Poole, Dorset who can carry out the following work: Bose skipping fix Bose dodgy cables issue (I have to give the side of the console a thwack quite often to get the speakers to kick in) Airbag light I've put up with all these problems for almost 2 years but now the car is for sale im not sure that a new owner would appreciate the "quirks" lol Happy to pay cash in hand and quite willing to travel an hour or so each way to get the work done thanks
  8. Now actually for sale The car is a sunset 54plate UK car with GT Pack and Alezan. Stock apart from a JWT Pop charger and spacers (25mm at back and 20mm at front). Has 4 good tyres and is in good condition all round with 6 months tax left and 9 month MoT Bad points: Minor curbing on the alloys (I have been quoted £40 per alloy to fix but never bothered due to it being minor) service history is a bit flakey. I have documents showing servicing each year but no stamps in the book for some years. I do however have a load of receipts. Lets put it this way.. I was confident enough that it had been serviced every year to buy it myself and it had had a P3 just before I bought it. just to make sure I put it through a P3 myself a year ago Small mark on the center console (you can see this in the photo) I've had the car now for over 2 years and have loved it to bits.   10. I've always fancied a track day in the zed but having never done one before imba tad nervous. I contacted thruxton and they said that in April they have a session that is open to the general public but you have to have a qualified instructor in the car with you. Their fees for this are 175 for the first hour then 100 per hour there after if I remember correctly. Apparently they usually get around 12 cars max on the track at once and its all nicely organised and safe etc which suits me. The next session is in April so I'm tempted to sign up for a couple of hours. My question is, what effect is this likely to have on the zed? Baring in mind ill be very slow and cautious most likely. Am I going to find myself killing a set of tyres for example? Also how did you guys find your first track days, any advice?
  11. Sky insurance told me that hfcs add nothing to the policy as they fall under the exhaust upgrade. I assume u just have an upgraded exhaust premium regardless of what's done to it. What does add though is having a remap..
  12. Would have been more impressive if you had done 4.4 miles in your last trip and took the photo at 44mph :-)
  13. hmmm just been quoted £46 additional on my policy if i add the exhaust. I can get HFCs added for no extra cost but a remap will make it £76.. this is for 3 months before i hit renewal... is this sensible? They asked how much BHP the mods + remap would make and i said <10bhp. I'm guessing this is about right
  14. Right... After hours of trawling through the exhaust section on here I've almost talked myself into going for the Invidia Gemini from Tarmac (with the funky blue tips).. (I'll be honest I'm mainly considering buying it for looks) The general consensus seems to be that HFCs of some variety are a worthwhile upgrade to compliment it however if I go for the Gemini then its over what I wanted to spend anyway so the question becomes.. how much of a job is it to fit HFCs at a later date if the new exhaust has already been fitted?
  15. sorry to bring back an old thread... am i right in thinking then that the tips of the Scorpion can be replaced with the OEM tips off an OEM backbox ?
  16. Hi mate, thanks for the offer! any idea what shipping would cost for this or who you would suggest I approach for a quote ? I'm tied between a new scorpion or replacing with a 2nd hand Nissan OEM such as yours, need to find some free time to get over and have a listen to Busters before deciding but if I go Nissan OEM and shipping isnt too costly I'll take you up on that offer
  17. There was a thread about this - yes it is because of the dylithium crystals (or something like that) thats in the cat (if your swapping out the full system). Would just be the backbox, obviously it won't fit in the zed so would need to make a trip back in the Honda crv to pick it up, just wondered if its worth the trip. Unless its gonna be worth >£25 its probably not worth the hassle

  20. cheeky git I know its down to personal preference but it was more that I wasnt sure if I could use an aftermarket backbox with the rest being OEM
  21. So would I only need the £369.98 kit ? I dont mind spending more if there is a better option worth spending the extra on
  22. Took the Zed in for its MOT today and it failed on a few small bits.. only major item was the exhaust is blowing. Apparently I need a new silencer/back box Being that I am totally ignorant.. what are my options ? Should I look at a 2nd hand OEM one or can I go for an aftermarket and if I do, do I need to replace the whole exhaust ?
