    Amps

Ive got a box similar to yours, only mine isnt as deep, the box i have is 6-8 inch in depth, now im worried that the subs wont have enough space inside, altho im sure it'll be fine, has some spacer rings so could use those too. I like the idea of using a shelf in the back, would show off the amps nicely, also like the idea of using the rear box, behind passenger seat but nobody has pics off anything like that. Also, just curious, but when you have the volume at full blast, does it drain your battery a little? for e.g. do your headlights or interior lights dim? thought id ask as im gonna be running what you're running right now, and was a bit worried about that.

I was thinking about it, but would it involve extra work to secure the amps in there? or would i have to take the glove box out?

Ive actually got the same amps you have, including the subs. amps are: 475a & 1600a & subs: 2 x 1050w. is the board the amps are on part of the box or is it a seperate mdf board?

    Amps

Hi, A lot of guys on here have nice installs, and ive got some subs and amps to stick in the z, only im confused as to where to put them, i could mount both amps on a mdf board and attach it to the back of the custom subwoofer enclosure which fits underneath the rear bridge, er, thing. Or i could place them in the factory subwoofer location but seems a bit cramped, i really want to avoid putting the amps in the boot. So can anyone show me where they put thier amps and where the best locations would be to mount them?
  5. If a clifford installer will install it such that it does not need to be primed they deserve to be shot IMO and their clifford certification removed. If you by accident knock the remote start button and your car is in gear you could easily hit someone with the car if its in a general car park etc. This could land yourself with a BIG bill as the insurance company will not touch it. again, its at your own risk, mate. If you're the only guy who drives your z, and you never leave it in gear, then its worth it. Anybody who does leave it in gear, id advise always keeping with the priming procedure for everyones safety including your own.
  6. I havent fitted anything yet, but have comps, co-ax, 2 amps, 2 subs to install, got a custom box from a company called: elemental designs (www.edaudio.com), they are based in kent and have unloaded (empty) custom box's, type in 350z in search and have a look for yourself. kinda pricy, you may be able to get it cheaper on ebay.

    BMC Induction?

06 plate uk spec, mate. tbh, im not really into the sound of the car, mostly into performance & power increase. But after rethinking what ive learnt so far, popcharger is my best option. The weekend in Wales may make you rethink the noise issue ive heard the welsh-boyz are nutters when it comes to noise

    BMC Induction?

How much bhp do you think the popcharger will add on?
  13. Probably a bit late to reply to this, Ive got a Clifford engine start system installed my Z, however, you need an alarm system (also a clifford arrow 5.1) in order for the engine start facility, tbh im well happy with it, wake up, push a button, get ready and the cars nice and warm, even better if the heated seats are on. As for priming the system, just keep it sweet with the guy who installs it & he'll make sure you dont have to prime the system, altho its always down to you to make sure the cars not in gear or it'll stall and jump a lil ahead. After remote starting the car, you need to unlock the doors and jump in, insert the key, turn and step on the brakes to disarm the anti-theft system otherwise the engine will shut down and your alarm may go off. My insurance company knows about the alarm and remote start system, if the alarm system itself is thatcham approved or not doesnt matter cuz the remote start system isnt approved either, but trying to steal the car while the engine is remote started is almost impossible because your alarm system would still be active till you disarm it yourself when getting in the car. Hope this helped.

    BMC Induction?

http://www.potn.co.uk/p1543162.htm This is the bmc induction kit, But nobody ever talks about it, so i figure its a waste of time. Ive met a few Z-heads at meets & they always suggest a popcharger, only im ashamed to ask what a popcharger is.
  16. Cheers mate, nice to be here. Gunmetal grey, i keep forgetting, thanks for the reminder.
  17. Hey, does anybody have any advice about bmc/cda induction kit? doesnt cost an arm & a leg (just a finger), but looks the business, might not be as good as k&n or hks, but ive seen it around and thought maybe someone has tried it and can give me any advice on its performance (keep in mind that my engine is still unmodified, so it would be the first mod)?
  18. Cant believe how sexy those rims look, ive got a dark grey Z (dunno what the exact name for the colour is, so, er, grey!) Had my eye on some dotz alloys, but was told they wouldnt fit, due to the calipers sticking out so much, What rims are those in the pictures?
