I used to have an e46 m3 convertible smg, to compare it to my 06 Zed, id hate to say the m3 did have a tad bit more power, but having said that, ive raced my cousins e46 m3 and always manage to stay level with him (partly because he doesnt know about launch mode yet ). the coupes have a 0-60 time of 5.2, the convertibles will do 5.4, but i never managed to achieve those times no matter how many times i tried, only after i had a supercharger installed, i was trying the late 4's.

really? never thought of that. is the inner arch a peel away plastic? also, did you have to jack the car up and take of the wheel?

Im trying to replace my side lights with white ones, but havent a clue how to even get the headlamps off, it doesnt look like theres any space behind the headlamp either, so..................... can anyone tell me what i need to do to change the side lights?

first mod i did was take the middle silencer off, at first i thought it would be pointless, but it knocked me back, takes a few weeks for the sound to settle, but it kept me smiling for ages, it will give you a touch more bass, nothing OTT, and will give you a satisfying high pitched note on high revs. trust me, give it a go and see for yourself. also, i have a video somewhere of my Z, got my lil sis to rev it the day i took the middlebox off & put a popcharger in, let me know if it will help and ill send it to you. Can you post it? I'd be quite interested in hearing it! Ive had 2 magnaflow exhausts, first one was the ready-made one which was nice, but very quite, 2nd was a custom made magnaflow exhaust which is very pleasing, tried a few exhausts before settling with magnaflow. it has a deep rumble at lower revs which gets high pitched on higher revs. tbh, im still smiling since ive had it. expect to pay somewhere around £350, maybe less. give nemisis a shout and they'll let you know who your local magnaflow dealer is.

Couldnt agree more, i had to bend mine because it would only pop off again, ended up using superglue.

Ok, after reading this topic, this morning i had a somewhat sadistic mood, my Zed was parked up outside a post office, so i sat across the street with a mate, and started messing around with the engine-start facility installed in the car, now, everytime a geezer would walk past, id click the button on the keyfob, and the engine would come roaring on................ 11/15 old geezers lost thier temper and walked (at crawling speed) off mumbling all sorts. a few of them stood there wondering how it started on its own for several minutes. ok, i know, its a bit sadistic & cruel, but its payback.

Ive got far too many old people in my area, one of them even had the cheek to knock on my door and threaten to call the police, then when i explain that its the exhaust, they say "sorry sonny? im a little hard of hearing". kids love it, its just old people who cant help but get involved.

Would i need a lower plenum if i installed a kinetix plenum on a 06' Zed? If so, ive heard of people doing machine work to the lower plenum, whats that about?

well, aside from a few differences, its safe to say that its not da whip i keep seeing. Da whips spent quite a bit of money on his, the one i see is like a how-not-to (budget) version zed. Try and get a photo somehow! On second thoughts..dont It'll only encourage him! actually, ill give it a try the next time i see him, im sure it will make his day. quick click, flash & run.

Ive got a custom magnaflow exhaust, its loud, has a nice bass when in low revs and a smooth high pitched note at higher revs. tbh, i also like the dc sports exhaust and also the nismo, might not be as loud as you think, but a y-pipe, high flow cats or decat pipes and you've got yourself the sound and feeling you're after. i would recommend magnaflow, still been smiling since i bought it, but would also suggest superior brands like nismo & dc sports if you can stretch the budget.

That could be Da Whip. Isn't he from down that way? dunno who Da Whip is, but saw the car again this afternoon in harrow, it had those awful light brows, a stick on bonnet intake, m3 style fender grills, smoked rear lamps (a bit too black, he hasnt smoothed it down either) and a set of chrome rims which look like its hit every kurb in sight. he waved again, and people instantly started looking at me, thank god my windows are tinted.

Ive seen a jdm zed in my town and he has a set of these on his car, along with a few other tacky stick-on bits & bobs. always honks his horn when he sees me, i just pretend i cant see him.
