If anyones interested, if you buy a car from northern ireland, the dvla prefer you to register it on the mainland. To do this you have to take your paperwork and go fill in some forms at your DVLA local office (in our case Carlisle) in person. A minor annoyance, but there you go.

I have no idea if this is good or not, as I've never been to donny. Will certainly make a change. Personally i was hoping for a London GP some year.

The standard 360 doesnt have HDMI output, so you cant buy an HDMI cable for it... you must buy an elite to get HDMI.

Yes, all new ones do as of xmas '07, including the Arcade. Only the Elite comes with the HDMI cable though.

Also, now that HD DVD is virtually dead in the water, you can guarantee MS will be bringing out a Blue-ray drive for the 360.

I got one of the S2000 aerials from ebay and to be honest its better than the stock one! Not sure if the old one was broken or not though!

 

Plus mines a JDM so i doubt the band shifter makes for the best radio reception anyway!

But you have got me thinking now about whether a GT pack is worth the premium. I am not too fussed on the leather seats, and if I get a non-GT I could use the cash saved to get a kick ass stereo fitted. Hmmm....decisions, decisions!!

I'm waiting for my new zed, i didn't pick the GT pack, but i seem to be in the minority. The only part of it i was bothered about was the seats, but it wasn't worth the cost. I am planning to replace the stereo anyway - the BOSE system isn't that great and you get the 6 disk CD changer anyway on 2007 models onwards i think!

I think the official price of the kit is £2,800, however when buying the car etc I just negotiated further on the basis I was spending so much with them!! I also reckon when selling, it's more appealing if fitted by them... Not only that but I needed to include it in my finance!

Kit costs north of 2k.

The main advantage of course as its a dealer fit option is there's no trouble warranty wise.

Haha, yeah millom is so nice the local police consider it a punishment posting!

Not far as the crow flies, will probably be driving that road when the zed arrives, bit sketchy in places though, and the sellafield traffic is not to be tangled with!

What were you doing in millom?

I'm in the same boat mate, except my car won't arrive till mid july. My dealer said 4-6 weeks at the time! I'll be interested to see how yours goes

Hopefully i would be able to make some weekend post september, need to upgrade my driving for the zed!
