Yes but yours is a personal statement not an entire design and sales team at Nissan thinking this is how we are going to make our 370z a very special anniversary model for the world market.

Yours is a much nicer colour for starters.

Thanks for your reply, it's not the sat nav not working properly it's the maps being out of date, Nissan Australia want ridiculous prices for a cd as you said a license to print money, I'm either going to buy a gps that I can move between cars or upgrading the bose system to one that let's me put maps from my phone onto the screen, it's a bugger trying to get the correct information and parts for this car, cheers

    This sort of thing?

Thanks for the welcome, I'm hoping so, the gps in the car is hopeless, its a 2015 car with probably 2010 maps so it's either buy a gps or replace the head unit and use android Auto from my phone, cheers

Traditionally car gps maps are always years behind. It's a license to print money. There are a few private companies that sell ahem 'backup' copies for a fraction of the price. I had some in the past they work well and saved me in 1 case £100 against official VW map for my T5.

If it's a gps location issue in your car there might be connection issues between your aerial and the head unit? Might be worth checking earth connection for a start?

I had an infinity g37s.which is basically a 4 seater version of the 370z and I guess the same satnav system. Mine was great one of the better out there I have to admit.

If it were me (it isn't) I would be spending the money on a used R35 rather than sink cash into one of these. I personally don't like it. Looks too rounded at the back (too much like a Jag/Aston) and they are trying to use some of the old 240z lines on the rear quarter with the round badge as well which for me just doesn't work. Having owned a mark two Nismo myself I would say the current Nismo is better looking. Only my opinion though of course. For me its lost its identity from all the other cars out there which Is a shame. Currently IMHO there is no other car that compares in looks to the 350/370 but this car doesn't look stand out to me.

I know you are missing a cassette player and those proper oddball upright fridge door handles! Those subtle colour coded jobs are not very 350 like are they?

It would have been hilarious if a lorry went into the back of it whilst they were filming in the underpass! I can imagine some flowery language from a bearded large lorry driver telling him not to stop in the middle of the road!  The only car of that type trashed for the sake of a 'trendy' photo shoot.

Anyway lets come back to it in 12 months time when they will probably have some update? I would expect a pre-treated antiseptic interior cloth , that kills 99% of all Covid strains upon contact. Now that's a good option isn't it for the 2020's!

    No release date yet.

I have to say I was wrong about the Urine Yellow colour watching that video? You know those multivitamin fizzing tablets you put in water and drink, well the fluorescent waste product afterwards!   That colour!   Just kidding I still like it - the car not the urine just to be clear? I am only taking the ...........

  6. So the mutated virus was nothing to worry about a few days ago but now is serious enough to cancel Christmas.

The Brexit negotiation is about to fall on its bottom due to fishing Cods-wallop.

The roads to Calais and Dover are rammed with waiting lorries and potential delays to vaccine deliveries from Belgium.

A number of videos with people passing out when they get the vaccine.

The Royal Mail still has a massive pile of your Christmas presents to be sorted.

    People losing their jobs.

European countries are banning flights to and from the UK.

The Russians are at it again hacking stuff.

MPs raving about a golden age for home produced stuff again, partly because everything from abroad will be more expensive. But hang on, all that manufacturing we held on to... erm give me a moment let me remember what we still actually make? Oh yes £200k Bentley's and Aston's so anyone can afford those.

    We also make weapons.

Plus flooding and bad weather this week.

People are having to use food banks to feed their families, yes in this country in 2020.

But stuff all that, we are still here in spite of it all.

No matter how depressing the fear mongering papers are, oh and ignoring the selfish people in London suddenly deciding to escape before the lock down and spread that virus elsewhere in the country, we will get through it.

Hang in there folks and don't worry maybe that urine yellow 400z -pee might still end up at our shores. :D

    how good would that be.

price it right up there so-
    no more carpark roads.

no more having to try pick quiet times to drive and bike.(summer weekends before waking hours)

pay the toll take the ride.
just like the March lockdown pandemic national street raceway and outside of that was track days.

and then imagine the toll monitoring and billing authorities - hmm a Folkestone-Rye lap in hmmmm what happened the  system's on the blink again !!!???

meanwhile on the other side claiming oh yeah it's official i'm #1 !

good publicity stunt and distraction from other current failures but oh well back to reality. :)

Failures as in the big one starting 1st January  God help us all.

Had a guy with one leg complimenting me on the state of the Porsche today. I thanked him and he asked how I kept it so clean. I told him it's kept in the garage when the sun doesn't shine. He promptly jumped (loosely speaking ha ha) into his dirty RS6 and sped away ... sounded absolutely gorgeous ! I guess he must have lost his leg in a bike accident.

I thought you were hopping towards a one legged joke in this story. Yes RS6s do sound nice.

  9. To add my 20p experience to the mix.

Maybe it's time to acknowledge how good the MR2 Roadster was.

They tried to take on Mazda's mx5 speaking as someone who has owned both, they are similar but different animals.

The Mx5 is fun and predictable hence safe as long as you don't do anything really stupid.

The MR2 was a more hard edged car in my view and I had one of the very first new ones (in Manchester area) back in the day. You could steer it with the accelerator pedal a lot of the time, it was great fun but it would bite you very easily very quickly and without warning. So the hairdresser image is unfair.

I think they had Bridgestone (tyres of death) as standard. When I switched to Toyos it was a much better car exactly as I did with the 350z.

The reason I mention the MR2 is when the GT86 first came out I went to test drive it as a serious potential purchase. The moment I drove it my memories of the MR2 Roadster flooded back. It had exactly the same instant response and go cart handling, putting a big grin on my face, but sadly let down by the cheap interior and fake drain pipe engine noise piped into the cabin.

In 2001 the plastic interior of the MR2 was actually ok and for a rag top practical but having something even worse in the 2017 or whenever it was is no excuse in a GT86. So I agree it's no way a £30k car! I said it before it's a fill in model to keep the Subaru plant alive but glad Toyota still make light cars like this. They need a new MR2 and I would consider one over a GT86 if they did.

Sorry to any GT86 or BRZ owners. :)

Had two Dolly Sprints in my youth and loved them, they were however prone to overheating and doin cylinder  head gaskets, quick in their day though:)

The force is strong but I have 3 classics already no way can I justify another. Thanks for the advice btw.

That takes me back to my youth, tempted by old classics as a summer car ,Zodiac, or first model Capri, !

I was thinking about getting a Dolly Sprint but I am being daft, my Rover has to go first if I ever get time to prep it and get it advertised. Good luck in your search.

  12. :welcome: to the club.

You might be lucky, some people held on to their 350s after the 370 came out and tended to look after them.

Avoid the cheaper end of the market probably thrashed to death and not serviced properly. Might be worth putting a wanted post on here?

Don't worry too much about worn banana arms plenty on here can supply them for reasonable cash.  If you look under a zed you will see how heavy duty they are, in fact the the only naff part is the Uber thin paint which stone chips the bumper within minutes. Nissan tend to just show the car a tin of paint at the end of the production line rather than spray it on.

  13. I would say BMW M2 other half loves it, yes it's not 4 doors but the back is spacious enough for adults and the boot is very big, plus fun to drive.  Only downside for your budget you get all the crash damaged ones...:headhurt:

So Lexus but not sure which model really depends on what you like?

Deffo avoid diesel it will be worthless anyway in a few years.

New Suzuki Jimmy if you can find one for sale?

Those new Shape Mazda 3s look pretty cool and 4 door? Can get one new for less than £19k?
