1. Hi Guys, I finally relented and spent the weekend removing the nismo decals from my zed. I was always reluctant to do it in the past because of the possible marks left or paint imperfection but they've come off clean and you'd never know they'd ever been on the car, and not a single scratch left behind. Unfortunately, the 'after' pic was taken so late at night so crap image but anyway, what d'ya think - better now or worse? P.S. Its still for sale in usual place (shameless plug!)
2. Cheers Jerry, buy this one and flog yours lol Seriously though its a beast of a car and now the mods are pretty subtle (apart from the spoiler hehe). looks like the 'de-stickered' look has done the trick - I've had 3 phone enquiries today and 2 viewings booked in this week. Here's the updated PH ad... http://pistonheads.com/sales/988137.htm Cheers
3. Well, this weekend, I decided to go with the majority opinion and remove the decals from the car. It was a very long process but eventually all of the stickers came off without leaving any marks - the hardest bit was getting all the adhesive off the paintwork without scratching the surface. All in all i'm pleased with the result. I ran out of time so will finish off the bonnet next week. I actually think it does look better - Anyway, suffice to say that I hope its more attractive to potential buyers... Here's a couple of interim pics...
4. Hey Digsy, Thanks for the bump. I appreciate the advice but I think its not the superficial decals thats prevented a sale so far, its actually the Nismo clutch. Its very hard, very twitchy, a little 'Ferrari-esque' you might say - all in all it takes some getting used to and in traffic it wears you out! On the plus-side its perfect for any one who likes to drive their Zed HARD. The aftermarket ECU delivers more power than a standard Zed too . It really is a bargain. Nevertheless, I'm interested to hear opinions from fellow forum members. Decals - would you keep them or get rid....????? Cheers.
5. I completely empathise mate - this is what happened to my roadster recently. I've been too distraught to talk about it up until now, but I feel the same. Even when I get it fixed (which isn't as simple as replacing the glass - its bonded into the roof so needs a complete new roof), its only a matter of time before some other scumbag decides to target it.
6. Now on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0405875437 Also, now reduced to £11,750 - forum admin would you be kind enough to add to thread title "REDUCED to £11,750" Thanks!
7. Cheers mate, this time I hope someone will snap it up. It really is a dream to drive but 2 zeds is plain greedy so I'm sticking with my orange roadster....
8. Now reduced to £775 and can now deliver anywhere in mainland UK via courier for another 50 quid. Cheers
9. Hi mate, I've been quoted 80 quid to restore the wheel by a guy from dentfix - scratches are quite deep in places. Cheers
10. They're still for sale - someone please make a sensible offer otherwise I'll have to unleash them on fleabay.... 3 of the wheels are in great condition, all 4 tyres at very early stage of their life. Cheers
11. Where abouts in Berks are you? Windsor, and you?
12. Well my roadster fits your bill but the catch is you will have to offer me a pretty damn good price for it. As well as the NISMO kit, its now got NISMO suspension and NISMO exhaust so it performs as good as it looks. I'm already selling my other Zed so I wasnt looking to cash in on this one BUT.... make me a crazy offer and I'll think about it....... 13. Hi Jerry, if you mean my GT4 wheels, yes they are still available. Here's the thread for pictures: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=23212 Cheers Parvin
14. Hi All, Some of you will be aware of my recent mission to return my Zed as near to OEM spec as possible. The project has now been completed and so the car is now for sale at a much lower price than previously advertised. Gone are the NISMO suspension, NISMO exhaust and BREMBO brakes, but it still has the NISMO clutch, NISMO rear spoiler and latter year LED tail lights. I also still have the original GT4 alloys (with nearly new Bridgestones) that this car came with so depending on striking a deal, I may switch them back onto the car. Here it is on Pistonheads... http://pistonheads.com/sales/988137.htm I've looked around at current advertised prices and can't see an MY06 available for less than this price. I hope its realistically priced considering the clean condition and mileage, but nevertheless, as I need to sell, if someone is interested I'm always happy to negotiate a little bit..... Regards Parvin
15. I bought nurrish's old standard wheels which he painted black himself - did a damn good job too! After trying 3 other sets of wheels (chrome, standard silver, GT4) I've settled on these - dunno what you guys think but I think they look great on a sunset roadster....
16. Its only letting me post 3 pics at a time so here's 3 more...
17. Sorry for the delay but here's some pics of the wheels.... All the tyres are in excellent condition, the rears actually have at least 6mm tread and fronts 7mm+ so virtually new.
18. Will put up some pix in a bit - my internet connection has been slow so will try again later. Cheers
19. Set of 4 GT4 Wheels with Tyres Rear 2 wheels are in mint condition with 245/45/R18 Bridgestone RE040's - loads of tread around 5-6mm across the width Front 2 wheels with 225/45/R18 Bridgestone RE040's - one wheel has v minor kerbing, the other has more kerbing and scratches across two spokes. Tyres have loads of tread around 7mm across the width £900 Pick up only I'm afraid - simply don't have time to package/arrange a courier. Located in Windsor, Berkshire. Cash on collection. Cheers
20. Amended the title for you, bud! Seriously, as the car's pretty different from that originally advertised, including the pics, I'd suggest a new thread and we lock this. Good idea, will start from scratch......
21. PS forum admin may wish to amend the thread title since the "nismo goodies" are soon to be gone. I guess the title is now more "JDM 350z 2006 10k miles - available soon for £12.5k" something like that...
22. I'm halfway through my job to re-standardise my 06 JDM - in the end I decided to take out the Nismo suspension aswell, the exhaust has already been swapped back to oem. So, in a few weeks I'll be re-advertising the car at a much-reduced price - don't know how much interest I'll get but i'm thinking of a price around £12.5k. I know people get put off by imports, but its still an MY06 with only 10,000 miles - do you guys think this is a fair price? I can't find an MY06 zed anywhere for that price, jdm or uk spec. Cheers
23. I've had the same problem with my 06 JDM ever since I got it - thought it was just mine, phew
24. I have taken the GT4 wheels off my car and was thinking about selling them - rear two are mint, front have some kerbing, with nearside one more heavily scratched. The wheels come with bridgestones with tons of tread (prob around 7mm). How much should I expect them to fetch?
25. Alezan leather all the way on an orange roadster or any zed imo...
