I was bending a 600mm breaker bar to loosen the head studs if anything I would say over torqued! I was rather hoping they were loose so I could blame it on that though. The biggest problem is we didn't find a problem so are we just wasting money and time putting in gaskets and bolting it all back together Nice work Chris, Would it be worth checking how true the head is where the leak occurred, if there is runout, just a couple of thou this may have caused the problem? Suppose you could always put a thicker gasket in there to lower the compression & pop it in your car, I know you keep going on about intake temps

Yes it all happened really randomly, had nothing planned for the day so phoned my mate to see if he was around so that I could go & see the new porker, then my other mate turned up to look aswell so we went for a drive & met up with a few others, was almost a Piston heads meet

Quick update: Went for a quick shake down drive today to see how the car drives, met up with a few friends & their cars Audi R8 v8 VX220 Turbo Gen2 GT3 RS & a Z3M Coupe & E46 M3 Had some great fun & got to compare the newly revised pace against some really special cars. Back on topic, I went out to get some petrol earlier for tomorrows shenanigans, I must say I'm really imposed with the amount of low down torque the car produces, far greater than the 350z did, but could result in the rear tyres wearing a bit quicker
