They are straight out the car & I haven't touched them yet, they are in pretty good condition, the drivers side could do with some new foam though It's all available for the old Datsun's. Not sure where in the UK but found this US site as an example. Link: http://www.zcarsourc...0z_8_77928.html Yes plenty of parts still available, Although I've not been having much fun with parts lately, after recently spending over $5k with the zstore I'm not impressed with the company what so ever, it took them 10days from the point of order to even raise an invoice & then a further 4weeks to dispatch it (that said I did have a custom interior manufactured so shouldn't grumble) then upon receiving the delivery I found that I had items missing (all the gaskets & oil seals) so I got in touch with them only to be ignored (4 e-mails & 5days) I ended up having to raise a claim with paypal, which thankfully has been quickly resolved. Although I'm annoyed that the items were missing, but I can appreciate that mistakes happen, I just find it dam right rude to be ignored, especially after spending a decent amount with them & potentially the same again in the near future. I have since been in touch with Zcarsource, who are not only better priced, but the service so far has been nothing but exceptional, I'm now hoping that they ship all the items that I have ordered. Rant over Got a few more bits off the car, wiper assembly Bonnet, lower valence & wings Also having a spit made for the car as I can't be bothered to build one myself & it will take up to much valuable time -

From what I have read into primers I think the best way to go for longevity is the epoxy route, self etching zinc rich primers seem to be quicker as they act as a surfacer aswell but don't let you re-work the panel (add fillers) I've been using a self etching primer for the engine bay parts, it works well for them as its a one coat, high build & I haven't needed to add filler to anything. But when it comes to the bodywork I'll certainly be using an epoxy primer - followed by a surfacer primer. -

Bennet don't worry we installed them all with rubbing compound to assist the break in procedure Can I ask what you reason for PC was? I'm planning on going with an etch or epoxy primer, then a high build underbody/stone chip paint followed by a Black base coat & clear top coat. The reason being is that when the parts get hit with debris they will be much more resilient to exposing bare metal. PC is tough, yes but if it gets chipped the bare metal is then exposed allowing the corrosion process to start -

So I'll continue where Pappa Crank left off After Adrian had secured his stallions to the fence he set to work on saving & cleaning the crankshaft caps before they disappeared, So before we removed & cleaned the block & crankshaft it looked something like this: covered in oil to keep the moisture off of the raw iron. Then within 2hours of being cleaned & immediately sprayed with silicone looked like this: Good work mate So whilst Pappa crank installed the crank with all the new shells, me & Adrian set about installing the recently gapped rings Then prepared the new corned shells Then timed the ring gaps 120' from one another Then the pistons were installed Unfortunately I managed to break the ring compressor so we then improvised with an offset jubilee clip to pull the rings in caps were then fitted & everything torqued up Unfortunately someone forgot to put the gasket & seal kit in the box, so thats about as far as we could go on the engine without any gaskets or oil seals -

Horses???? Raging stallions on E whilst smoking crack more like!!! I had a little go in the car earlier & oh my it made every pain staking hour we have put into the car all so worth it. The car is an absolute beauty to drive. In drive, it drives just like stock & handles the power very well when the throttle is squeezed. Then when in manual it just becomes INSANE! Power whatever revs your at & handles it very well with all the SPL & KW parts thats not to mention the noise Unfortunately the video cannot be posted as there was a lot of swearing going on. I can honestly say that the car is in my top 3 most exciting drives!!! -

Also there are a few other parts missing from the recent purchases, I have also got some fire retardant insulating foam for the bulkhead & transmission tunnel, replacement vinyl for the cills & overhead finishings, including the sun visors. But thats all tucked away for when I'm nearly finished -

I'm actually gutted about it, really wanted to get the engine back together as it's taking up so much space being stripped down with parts all over the place. The list didn't have to be that long, but I want to do the job properly, I want the car to be better than new when I'm finished, if it's not 110% or more I'm not happy. Anyone who knows me will vouch for that, OCD is an understatement -

Thanks for the heads up Leon, thats quite concerning, I thought it was bad enough having to source the valvoline mineral oil with a high zinc content to protect my valves, now I can't even fill it with v-power without doing damage -
