  1. Just an update on the replacement key, locksmith is having problems getting the Nat code so have cancelled the order and just phoned the local dealer, they have one in stock and will just take 3\4 hr to do and will cost £110.94 inc Vat, bit of a saving over the locksmith eh? Getting it done tomorrow.

  2. Good lad.... Who's advice tho???

Home -> Forum Index -> The Trading Post -> Spotted on Ebay

on the post above, Zzzz said about Ebay\206sw, but as the wife had had an 206sw I thought it might be the right size.

  3. A few years back my friends dad was an advanced police driving instructor. Back then the guidlines given to traffic police was speed limit +10% + 3MPH. So for motorways you got 80MPH before they'd ticket ya. He also said that you could easliy do 85MPH without being done as long as you arent all over the place or tailgating. Not that I condone speeding of course :teeth:

Motorway cop mate told me it was speed limit + 10% + 2mph, but what's 1mph between friends.

  4. Yes I'm from Cov, and it's er.... Kuro Black with Rays, I'm waiting to be 'spotted' by Zedman as he seems to be from the same area :D

It's a UK car and Locksmith has done a few Nissans before, maybe not 350z's he certainly seemed to know what he was on about though.

  5. Won't get the key for another couple of days as they have to apply for the NATS Code and this takes a couple of days to come through, they are a reputable Locksmiths and while I was in there waiting while they got the info out of the car other people were coming in for replacement keys for various makes, will let you know when I get it, hopefully early next week.

  6. Car only came with 1 remote and a valet key, when I had the driveshaft done I asked the service dept to sort me out a replacement key while they did the job, needless to say when I went back the next day to pick up the car I asked after the replacement key I had ordered, this was met with a blank look, they had forgotten.... so I thought sod it I'll forget to tell you that I had snapped off the aerial on the Micra loan car when I put it in the garage  (superglued it back together, rubbed down and painted black looked good as new  ) today I have just been to local locksmith who does remote fobs for most cars and have been relieved of £149.20 which includes £20 for the NATS CODE...... is that about right?

  7. Noise is from clutch release bearing , mines the same , as is everyone else's , something you have to live with on a Zed

Someone did put a post about some proprietary cleaner for door trims try a search ?

Cheers again, found the trim cleaner and it's already ordered, got to say how helpful people have been and no **** taking unlike a blue propellor forum I used to be on!

  8. Hi, thanks for the welcome to the forum, I hope that you won't find these questions repetitive as I have no doubt they have ben asked before, but anyway here we go and thanks in advance for any help, much appreciated!

Recently bought a 55 plate GT, which had 7200 miles on it, It had a clicking o\s driveshaft which has been sorted, now I notice that the transmission seems to me, to be quite noisy, when stationary and in neutral there seems to be quite a 'rumble' from under the car which goes when you depress the clutch pedal, could this be a clutch release bearing or a input shaft\gearbox problem also when I am in any narrow streets (and I mean narrow) I can hear a whine when I accelerate in 1st & 2nd gear, or is this a normal thing for this car, there are no gear selection problem as I have heard of on the US forums?

The other question is my door cards have a 'blotchy' appearance and look like they have been sprayed with something here and there and no matter what I use they wont clean up, and believe me I have used many things to try and clean them e.g. Cillit Bang, Industrial meths, car shampoo and nailbrush, foaming cleaners, armourall, gel's etc etc and nothing works and it's really p*****g me off  ! Any ideas gratefully received.

Apart from these couple of things, love the car, prefer it to the M3 I had, sod the Bose system prefer the soundtrack from out the back! :D can't believe how cheap it was to insure, £100 less than my 407 V6 Coupe.

    Cheers Mick
