  1. I sudden;y have a weeks leave from 18 June, would love to try and get out to the Continent and meet up with you guys en route... Where and when would be a good time?
  2. Ipswich here, but check out the memebrs map in the links above...
  3. Well got back complete with a lovely Silverstone tan... but the main thing is the car got back in one piece!! (I think the parade lap was as fast as some of the public track time in places!!!) Great to meet you all on my Z outing devut, looking forward to doing it again!! Pictures and vids to follow...
  4. produced in colour specifics....lol
  5. as confusing as it gets...there are 2 Holiday inns. One off the M1 at Jct 15 and one further afield at jct 16, which is actually on the A45 although advertised as M1. A few of us are staying at the latter one....
  6. can it not be ammended to read... "I was on/in the parade lap!" Slightly more exclusive...
  7. ans so people are aware where it is, it is actually on the A45.. http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/925/en/direction/ormmj
  8. well I will be ready and waiting in the Holiday Inn car park at 7.45 am, ready to roll¬!!
  9. i was thinking off heading to Sixfields for a bite to eat, then the other half reminded me she wanted to watch..."Any dream will do!".... So will have to convince her we need to get out a bit more...
  10. I believe there are a few of us staying at the Holiday Inn on the M1 just outside Northampton, but need to be there for an 8.30 am track time brief, so may have to go ahead...
  11. I will endeavour to identify myself at the paddock by displaying a card in my windscreen with "Dunker" on....
  12. From previous outings, a passenger holding a camera on a parade lap shouldn't cause too much alarm. They do get a bit worried though when some dodgy looking contraption holding a camera appears. Especially when in the windscreen area. Inside roof mounted cameras are prob the best but the Zed doesn't lend itself well to that. Prob fixed in the shelf area strapped to the rear brace. I am sure there will be a bullet camera company there willing to sell you their wares or even rent them out. Check out ebay for the lates gadgets.
  13. Yes you can, but they mustn't be hand held by the driver, goes without saying, and have to be approved at the track if they are mounted type.
  14. having just read the track info, how strict are they on this towing eye fitted both front and rear??? Not noticed it before on track days, just in competition. Also, will passengers need helmets as it only mentions drivers?? (With no reference to full face either for those that were wondering.)
  15. I have just booked in here too with my better half and looking at eating out the night before, maybe in the Sixfields area, with an early breakfast at the circuit after the track brief for group B.

has any one tried out the new fuel? I know it is steep at just under £2.50 per litre... supposed to get great results.. (extra 60 bhp on tuned engines..!)
  18. Plus, are we looking at having an impromptu meet the night before...say at the Sixfields leisure complex in Northampton?? I will be staying at a local b nd b outside the circuit on Saturday night, so i can get to the circuit first thing...plus there will be less dead bugs and traffic grime to get rid of before the show!!)
  19. What is the requirement for track times? Helmets? etc
  20. Steve, I have just sent you a paypal payment for 2 adults and a track session....application form to follow....
  21. Bumped into a sunset at Clackett Lane...not literally. Mark was the name, and had a quick chat before sp[eeding off our seperate way. Had a nice sounding exhaust...and then saw a yellow Zed coming the other way just before Chertsey....
  22. Well being that I spend most of my time operating out of the keevil area i will look to see if anyone is tracking next time i am that way. unfortunately it is normally in hours of darkenss and we are supposed to avoid Keevil when the airfield is booked for MSE. Maybe I will get them on my radar and try some tracking??
