    my new wheels

At first just looked like html coding, then after a minute it came up with the pics might be your server or cookie enabled, or biscuit enabled lol might be off. Not sure what Im talking about now
  2. Digsy thankyou so much for that link much appreciated Okay my wheels are now booked in with a guy in reading called the Jap Salon next saturday, www.japsalon.com since the wheel is split rim, the centres are staying exactly the same no refurb needed they are diamond black. The barrel however will have the anodising taken off all four wheels, the wet paint in a very shiney sparkling chrome which he has sourced for me then plenty of laquer protection over the top, but not to the extent where the wheel becomes dull in colour. i will also have spare laquer at hand should a stone chip occur so I can get to it before water does. I intend of having the wheels on all year round just means cleaning wheels with soap and water then putting a spray wax over it or the stuff you mentioned Rickya twice a week during winter and once a week in over the other seasons. Thanks all for your help an advice, anyone heard of Jap salon?

  10. Stolen car then? No gixxer, nothing behind the forum name mate. That's number plate related..... I'll take it from that, that all of your car's off side mirrors are named the same. You should be honoured! The price of my car has just dropped now thanks H5
  11. Will have to ask, cos I want the wheels on the car all year round and cos it has a deep dish probably best I get polish than laquer, however they said that I could have wet paint on it in shiney silver but then it needs laquer again, which means stone chips. why is it so hard to decide
  12. No worries, hope they give you what you want. As for which finish, in theory, I would guess diamond cut then lacquered would give the easiest finish to look after, and it's only cleaning the lacquer. However, if anything goes wrong with the lacquer (corrosion etc) then that would look pretty bad pretty easily. Polished is a hard one to keep clean, maybe longer lasting. As for powder coating, check the link about the risks with loosening wheel bolts. Coloured lacquer could be , or if wrong be Decision time! What do they recommend? Do you know if metal mirror polish is a form of powder coating?
  13. nice grant wow sucks for cannonball did they get their money back from the event?
  14. No probs, not suppliers fault just my own to blame. Well wheels have been booked in, gonna cost me £265 all in which I thought was bloody good considering i was quoted £800 from another place The place am gonna use seem to have a really good rep cheers H5 for the link, gonna send wheels of and will get them back in 10 days. Cheers to Andy he is lendng me his spare wheels whilst I get my wheels done, will be done before london meet, all my exterior mods will be ddone by then to. everyone watch this space One thing though, because they are stripping the wheel rim only back to basic they asked me what finish I wanted, they gave me following options: diamond cut then laquered, metal polished mirror, or powdercoated and colour the laquer. Which one requires the less upkeep?
  15. Just looked under mine, said sexy mo fo, guess its right

  17. As I told you, the lips on Volks are anodized, the spokes are painted The ONLY thing you should use to clean any wheel, especially a Volk or any wheel with a polished lip, is soap and water and then followed up by general wax once a month or so. No chrome polish (they aren't chrome lips), not wheel cleaners, nothing but good old soap and water. I'd recommend calling some of the places mentioned in this post and inform them exactly the scenario and use their recommendations for best course of action Hi Adam thanks for that, not sure what to say I took it to two wheel specialists already and both said these are laquered, I also called the Volks suppliers in the UK and they said these are definatly laquered, but you are saying anodised are the wheels two piece wheels
  18. Not sure what has happened, Big Phil has been really helpful as well as Andy, just need to get them sorted ASAP especially for the photos Louis

  21. They are the GT-S 19inch, I hears that Volks were laquered not anodised
