  1. Beware of the 2nd option. Some people I know who have opted for the "cheap car whilst i save for a really expensive one" have never gotten rid of their "cheap car" and ended up spending the money on other stuff (wife, baby, house ...) :teeth:

If you are already "losing" the money monthly on a car its easy to continue when changing cars, coz its sort of "in the budget". When you are saving the money it could end up getting used for other "useful" stuff, especially when "mister sensible" (or mrs sensible? :D ) kicks in, and convinces you a car, especially for that kind of money, is a waste of fincancial resources :teeth:

  2. Dude, NEVER get a car valeted by a workshop/dealer.

if they do it they usually do it the "industrial" way, e.g. quick and with machines you should not use on your paint. I dont think the stuff they use to wash a car gets washed after every use you know :p

Better do it yourself afterwards. At least you know you wont screw up the paint or get swirls all over it

  3. There is a famous saying : "one never can start detailing early enough" (or sth like that  ), so I decided to give my 2 weeks old car with 1000miles on the clock it's first treatment, as to get some protection on it ASAP, so it is easier to clean afterwards and shiny now B):p

Because i am a lazy git and lack the tools to do it (but mainly coz i m a lazy git :p ) I contacted my friend who runs www.wax-it.be to have my car done, and this is the result:

Mathys, your car will be in good hands :teeth:

  4. New 06 headlights are Bi-Xenon yes, the previous one is only a low beam xenon.

I still have to see the new headlights in real life, on the pictures they look worse than the 03-05.

    I ve got them.

The look of them rulez B)

But indeed, replacing them is like 1000€ a piece. Most people replace the rear light ones, coz they are quite cheap. The fronts are way more expensive, and the "old" ones look good too, so i wouldnt bother swapping them.

  5. Just wondering.... (and maybe a bit off topic)

why would ANY forum in the world be worth £30 / year to be able to post on it?

@Kev: its no great loss i guess, plenty of forums to hang around ;)

I came from the audi TT forum, and some people overthere have posted harsh comments about the 350Z too (well, about any other car basically, as on any marques forum, so no big deal :D), but they never do it directly towards an owner. Lots of ex-TT drivers still frequent the other marques section to talk about and show their new (non-TT) cars, and nobody ever gets personally insulted about the car they bought.

Id say, let them have their L33T 350Z club, plenty of non-ignorant ppl outthere to talk to ;)

  6. Ok dude,

you ve got me SERIOUSLY jealous there :scare:

The nice thing about your setup is that you hardly waste any space in your car. You can still use the boot to put stuff in it. Its great

How much work was it? Would love to have the same in my car but no way i can accomplish this myself :scare::wacko:
