Beware of the 2nd option. Some people I know who have opted for the "cheap car whilst i save for a really expensive one" have never gotten rid of their "cheap car" and ended up spending the money on other stuff (wife, baby, house ...)
If you are already "losing" the money monthly on a car its easy to continue when changing cars, coz its sort of "in the budget". When you are saving the money it could end up getting used for other "useful" stuff, especially when "mister sensible" (or mrs sensible? ) kicks in, and convinces you a car, especially for that kind of money, is a waste of fincancial resources

I could be really wrong here, but i thought it was about 150€ / piece

Dude, NEVER get a car valeted by a workshop/dealer.
if they do it they usually do it the "industrial" way, e.g. quick and with machines you should not use on your paint. I dont think the stuff they use to wash a car gets washed after every use you know
Better do it yourself afterwards. At least you know you wont screw up the paint or get swirls all over it

You should commercialize those speaker housings for the Z which you did between the "normal" speaker housings and the strut brace.
Id be a potential client

:scare::scare:
If someone would do that to my Z, they d be drinking a bucket of paint when i caught them

There is a famous saying : "one never can start detailing early enough" (or sth like that ), so I decided to give my 2 weeks old car with 1000miles on the clock it's first treatment, as to get some protection on it ASAP, so it is easier to clean afterwards and shiny now
Because i am a lazy git and lack the tools to do it (but mainly coz i m a lazy git ) I contacted my friend who runs www.wax-it.be to have my car done, and this is the result:
If you want to see more pics, just check the gallery on this site.
Mathys, your car will be in good hands

Friend of mine did my car today, and also used on of these.
When he was done with it i needed to put on to protect my eyes. Damn it was nice and shiney

Maybe she has/had other qualities to compensate this

Got it in my car
Btw, is there any way of tightening them up more? Stuff still got loose from underneat it after a "spirited" drive

Very funny, when about 1 month ago people were saying that engine was never going to make it into a 350Z but was for other models in the US market

New 06 headlights are Bi-Xenon yes, the previous one is only a low beam xenon.
I still have to see the new headlights in real life, on the pictures they look worse than the 03-05.
I ve got them.
The look of them rulez
But indeed, replacing them is like 1000€ a piece. Most people replace the rear light ones, coz they are quite cheap. The fronts are way more expensive, and the "old" ones look good too, so i wouldnt bother swapping them.

Weird stuff, but US market only for now i guess?
Will prolly come to europe somewhere 2008?

Is that the one with the new engine?

they look good
Want a pic with those on the car

Just wondering.... (and maybe a bit off topic)
why would ANY forum in the world be worth £30 / year to be able to post on it?
@Kev: its no great loss i guess, plenty of forums to hang around
I came from the audi TT forum, and some people overthere have posted harsh comments about the 350Z too (well, about any other car basically, as on any marques forum, so no big deal ), but they never do it directly towards an owner. Lots of ex-TT drivers still frequent the other marques section to talk about and show their new (non-TT) cars, and nobody ever gets personally insulted about the car they bought.
Id say, let them have their L33T 350Z club, plenty of non-ignorant ppl outthere to talk to

Ok dude,
you ve got me SERIOUSLY jealous there
The nice thing about your setup is that you hardly waste any space in your car. You can still use the boot to put stuff in it. Its great
How much work was it? Would love to have the same in my car but no way i can accomplish this myself

And usually designers of a car make something which is supposed to look "good" in the first place. So, instead of messing with that design, just get a car you like

You guys sometimes are really "anal" about some parts of the car

Honestly, the difference really isnt that big except for the side-reflector which has been replaced by 4 leds
