  1. Cool pic bet that had some noise going on
  2. But did he look at it and wash a bit to check? Did ours when we got it as the surface at new wasnt too good. After you wash it and dry it off lightly run your finger tips over the surface if it doesnt feel as smooth as glass then you need to clay it...makes the rest of the job and the finish so much better IMO....... whatever you decide best of luck and lets see some pics eh?
  3. Just got my PC polisher from Autopia £165 delivered.... already got loads of products to try though. Tried lots by hand but just couldnt shift the swirls & cobwebs from the paint. Your right tho' P21s wax is sooooo good
  4. Dont forget to claybar the car first to shift all the surface contamination and get the paint as smooth as glass before you start yr polishing job
  5. Nice job there on that bonnet. We didnt have the bonnet done when the missus got hers as it was a strip across the front and you could see the line across the bonnet....... wish this was around then would have saved the minor chips she has.
  6. Hi Peter, Welcome to the site and zed ownership hope you enjoy the car when you get it....or should I say you will enjoy the car when you get it!!

    Tyres

jeez theres a lot of info there... everything you wanted to know and more
  8. Well to give you more peace of mind, missus had hers done when new in Nov 04 not a single stonechip or mark on the front end and only one smallone in the bonnet above the film. The product is as good today as it was then....it does exactly what it says on the tin ...... and the bugs wipe off easily ....thats a bonus

    Tyres

Have a look here as a useful tool if your thinking of alternative tyre sizes a handy for keeping the same o/all diameter... http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html out of interest 255x40x18 is the same diameter except for 1mm as 225x45x18, not saying that its suitable tho'
  10. Found this on the other site..... just incase anyone is interested for September the Buntingford Classic Car Show have a look at the link. http://www.buntingfordclassic.com/ The zed OC seem to be going but if you want to line up with them the inference is that you have to become a paid member Wanna go??
  11. Got air con mate thats about as cool as it gets for us
  12. Feel sorry for ya chap...... biggest problem is that the dealers are mostly used to a service on the run of the mill stuff with the level of customer service that goes with it. Z owners expect a bit more Missus had hers in for service recently and I had cause to ring and point a few issues out after we got the car back but did they care not a bit and our local stealer is supposed to be one of the better ones!!
  13. Enjoy the ride...... takes less time to do 1200 miles that it does to get the silly grin off your face
  14. You were heading into Tesco at about 6pm last nite not much point in a wave as I was in the scoob

    Our cars

Difficult to answer that one, it was shortly after the missus got the car and Dave (Davros on the OC) @ Marshalls organised a get together of peeps he sold zeds to, as it was around xmas time, so we had some nosh and a pose. I dont think TBH that at the time any of them were aware of the existence of the original site so fairly unlikely they will be on here....could be wrong tho' Here's a couple more pics incase anyone recognises themselves

    Our cars

HA!! I always wanted a VR4 but just couldnt find the right one. I ended up with the Galant 2.5 V6 sport estate instead..... nice but underpowered...so along came the scoob with 310bhp on tap....couldnt resist. Would have loved to have 2 zeds but just totally impractical. Plus point on the turbo car is that they are soooooo tweekable, I'm looking at the WRC350 conversion at the mo...remap / cold air intake / diff intercooler and with the 3" exhaust should be good for at least 355bhp BUT 350 lbft of torque

    Our cars

Being a newie on here just thought I would post up a couple of pics of the current wheels...... First off the wifes 350.........(a cambridge meet some time ago) and the trusty sensible family saloon [/img]
  18. I think theres a good chance of that :
  19. You could also look here, some good write ups there as well. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/
  20. Hey thats quick, thanks for the welcomes.. to answer Digsy.. I drive Impreza STi8 with the prodrive mods at the mo. & Liam's Z Registered on the site with the user name but only did a handful of posts.
  21. Well I'm back well sort of, just wanted to say hello and thanks to Sarnie for directing me here. I used to be on the old 350zuk site ( not a lot ) but used to enjoy the forums and the banter on occasions. I didnt post or use the site for a while especially when the business of the 'members club' was going on and when I came back to the original site, was immediately redirected to the owners club ?!*? Hopefully now I've found the original site I'll use it more often and contribute towards it. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, it's the missus who has the 350.... and I get to use it sometimes..... but I always have to clean it!!... but then its better than washing your shirts eh? So I'm looking forward to a site you can use all of without paying for it!!
