Audi A4 or A6? Can get some cracking VAG diesels in that price range. Could also try a Leon Cupra R can get 55plates for around 15k with225bhp. My choice would be the EVO but if I had to be sensible an Audi would win every time.

Thats brilliant, wonder if I could use that the next time they phone me

Both

Not sure if this is the right section to put this, didnt seem right in the trading section.

The cars from Tokyo drift are for sale, including the TT Zed
Think they may cost a fair bit though.

Dont think id fancy being the one to test whether it works or not

http://www.dft.gov.uk/stellent/groups/dft_roads/documents/page/dft_roads_506860-04.hcsp#P345_19528 States that all windows must allow 70% of light through.

Not sure what %age you had done but I know that around here a lot of police dont bother anyway

Windows are tinted when the car comes from the manufacturer, this is usually the 30% your aloowed. Ill try and find the link where I read this.
-
I had 70% tints all round on mine and never had any trouble seeing at night. Would be tempted to get them done on my Zed. How much did you pay if you dont mind me asking?
-
You would be OK to do it on a Coupe. I thought that anything on the front windows were illegal though? I had tints on one of my old car and on the right colour car they look superb.
-
Yep, they did both of ours. I'd highly recommend them, but if you phone them now expect to be taking the car there about February.
Captint - you have to remember that Bap has done pretty much everything FI on his car, and he's gone to the absolute extreme. My list of 'must do's on the Vortech kit is much more basic, especially if you aren't going to be driving everywhere with WOT (I don't)
Larger oil pan (I have the JWT spacer)
Colder plugs
Uprated fuel hoses (an absolute must - safety issue)
With these optional bits:
Some sort of AFM with wideband gauge (optional)
Clutch (if you're thinking of doing balls-out standing starts)
Uprated fuel pump (between 5000 and 6000 rpm suffers without it)
Dual exhaust and better plenum (the weak links in the breathing of the engine. This will release the remaining horses)
And that will do you for simple stuff. Other than that I'd go for an aftermarket ECU if you want to tweak stuff yourself, but the list above is a good starting point.
You can PM me if you have any questions.
Would that be the same for ST or TT? Obviousley theres more stress on the engine but id like to get away with not spending silly amounts on internals

We should definaltey have a SW meet. A bit cold at the moment though
-
My Ibiza went from 180bhp to 206bhp on stage 1 map. Think stage 2 with exhaust/filter would see about 230
-
Its a Remap/ECU tuning, best mod you can do on VAG cars for about £500. On my Cupra I gained about 25bhp for £470.More imprtantly a load more torque. Basically plug a REVO Switch into the Serial port and can be switched on/off and tweaked. Undetectable to dealers/insurance companies when switched off.

£499 for 55bhp according to their figures

:bye:
Are you planning on getting REVO for the A3? Would get it a lot closer to the Zed
-
The Zed is definatley deceptive. It doesnt feel quicker than the Cupra but it is so much smoother. When I was driving home from the garage I was crusig at about 85 and it felt like I was doing about 50. In the Cupra you know your doing those kind of speeds but it was so relaxed in the Zed. Just need to get used to having a 6th gear and to use it a bit more.
-
Always wanted to use that first

Black roadster this afternoon about 2.40ish on the A4232 link road.

Im sure I read somewhere that Toyota were pulling out of the sports car market, which is why the Celica and MR2 have stopped production and no replacements were planned. That Supra is super ugly though and if it looks much like that I cant see many going for that over the GTR
-
Look great
-
How would the standard internals stand up to this kit? Been thinking more towards a Single turbo rather than a twin. Would this kit give more scope to big turbo in the future? Whats the price on the plenum and exhaust? Just curious for the when I eventually go down the FI route.

My mate has got a M3 EVO, its a great car. Id quite happily have an M3 or 3 Series coupe. My uncle sold an M3 convertible last year but I couldnt afford the insurance on it or id probably be driving that now - I think I made the roght choice though

A week of sleepless nights then not a month
Repalcement for Zed - suggestions and feedback appreciated.

Definatley get a Leon Cupra R, 30mpg, 225bhp, very tunable if you wanted, under 15k and its petrol . The only reason to choose the S3 over the LCR is if 4WD & dsg are essential. Ive had a semi-auto car before and the novelty will soon wear off and the craving for a manual will return
