The '07 leather sounds like the seat back they have fitted to mine. Just hope they'll do the rest to match now

I had the same problem on my 55 after 18k miles, It has taken be 2 months to get Nissan to agree to fix it. Had the seat back replaced last Friday! Only problem is the new one is a different colour and different type of leather. Dealer has told me that the part number for original seat has been superseded, therefore there is nothing they can do and told me to complain to Nissan customer services asking for both seats to be replaced now if they can't get the part to match. Waiting to hear back from them

I've not removed t myself but watched the RAC Windscreen's remove mine. It's either bothed or screwed, under the window seal, undo these and it is then hooked in under the top of wing. Be careful not to scratch the wing (they did mine!) as you take it off as the end is sharp.

Xenons blubs should be covered by 10 year warranty by the bulb manufacturer. A friend of mine just had one go in a Toyota and there dealer replaced it under the bulb manufactures warranty. Find out who make the nissan ones and contact them, if the dealer won't.

Don't bother buying the cover, make your own. I've just made my self one from mdf and covered it in carpet. Only cost me £24 for carpet from the local car stereo shop, already had the mdf in the garage.

oh I was thinking you meant it was made in 03. Is there not an MY04 or MY05?

Exactly a week after picking up my Z and having it Paintshield'ed, I was at my sisters when we heard a a bang as her cat had jumped on my bonnet and slid off into the garage door! Unfortunately he tried to cling on and left a few little scratches and a couple of plucks in the Paintshield. I assume this is because the Paintshield was new had not yet fully hardened. Any way my paintwork was fine. I rang Tom for advise on what to do. After he stopped laughing he was very helpful. He told me to get some rubbing alcohol and soak some kitchen paper in it and leave it on the scratches for minute or two. Then add some more alcohol and rub it in. Doing this removed all the little scratches an all the raised bits from the plucks, leaving just a little nick right at the edge of the film. I'm sure if I drink the rest of the alcohol I won't even notice that So Paintshield saved my paintwork and probably the cat's life

Yeah they are a bit big. Does a stubby one affect the radio reception?

It doesn't use the wheel controls, but the unit is mounted just by the gear stick so not really a problem. It is integrated into the radio, mutes it and then play through the speakers. The sync with the contacts on your phone is great, you then just scroll through the alphabet (which are spoken) to find the number. You can also add extra voice commands it you run out of space on your SIM. Don't think they were really aware of the Nissan unit.

I pickup my new Z on Saturday it's an MY05 exdemo. As part of the deal I asked for a bluetooth kit ot be installed. I was expecting the Nissan one that plugs into the cradle. However they fitted a Parrot bluetooth system, I was initially a bit disappointed but since using it, I'm more than happy. I think its a better system than the Nissan one, it comes with its own screen for scrolling through numbers, and it syncs with your phone to get the numbers from your phone. It's really easy to use whilst driving just one knob and voice menus. I think they are about £180 fitted so feel that I did quite well on the deal too.

I had my Z done on Saturday. I had full bonnet, bumper, wing tips and mirrors done and I'm really pleased with the result.

I did ring the DVLA to check what the dealer was telling me about doing it over the counter and they said it couldn't either. They did say it would be ok to drive it with the old number. But the dealer says he's given the tax disk to the DVLA I hope I can get this sorted by Saturday as my MOT runs out on my old car next week

Thanks for your reply. He told me he went into the DVLA office to do it over the counter yesterday, but they wouldn't issue the documents there and then. The insurance shouldn't be a problem as I can ring them and change the registration number. As it's already taxed and insured I can't see the problem picking it up, its no different to when I first got the number and transfered it my existing car, I could still drive it on the old number whilst the paper work was with the DVLA. Or am I missing something?

Hi, I'm waiting to pick up my Z! It's an ex-demo Gun Metal GT Coupe, with 3k miles on it. I should be picking it up on Saturday, but the dealer has just called to say that it won't be ready because my cherished number will not be transfered in time. My question is can I pick it up on Saturday with old number on, it's taxed on this number as its an ex-demo, and just switch the plates when the DVLA send the new documents through? Andy
