  1. hey guys, yeah checked out the US forum, found this one. just how mine is, especially when the car is heated.. http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=277745&highlight=clutch will have to phone them up again, why do they even try and getting out of fixing it, useless..!!
  2. no i havent checked that yet, will have to do that on weekend and have a look.
  3. ok i phoned the dealer, and i explained what happened, basically he states its a known problem with the heavier cars and pathfinder for example, apparently the clutch fluid oil, boils and as it turns watery, it then loses the clucth, just have to wait a minute and then becomes normal. (also happens if your holding it at biting point for long periods) right now its ok as i said, but if it happens constantly i told him will be bringing it in. whats it sound like to you guys??
  4. morning all, just noticed something weird yesterday, infact, first time i have done a wheelspin, and noticed the whole clutch pedal was going in and then staying in. I wanted to change to second gear and the clutch pedal was already down to floor itself, had to wait couple of mintes before it came back up, and then i heard a thump.. not good! anyway this morning it seems fine, but i have that slight burning smell, like when i first got the car and things were settling in... but seems to be going away slowly... anyone else had this prob.
  5. cheers for the info. will be looking into this now..
  6. and sorry, but which amp is it from that site??
  7. zedrush, where can you get the touchscreen for £75? new or used? cheers
  8. OK, had the car up on ramps last night and the problem lies with the rear brake pads. On visual inspection the outside pads seem perfect, however the ones on the inside have worn down so much its unbelievable. I have ordered new pads now and will hopefully get to fit them on Friday. (thanks Bigphil) I was thinking of taking it to Nissan and getting them to look at the caliper, would this be covered under warranty? I mean shouldn't both pads be worn down equally? thanks Ash
  9. i use my car as a daily driver in the city, so mine is always stop start every minute, surprised the rears lasted this long, my front were gone by 10000, plus i am heavy footed... lol
  10. yeah i really do hope its just pads. but what i don't understand is, that if it were the rears then my handbrake should be affected should it not. even moved the car slightly with handbrake on, and it feel tight and no noises.. anyway hopefully find prob tomorrow. cheers
  11. yeah i checked the discs, but what else should i look for on the disc to let me know its knackered, its looks fine to me, i dont see any uneven wear on it, or any deep scratches. the car has done 19500 miles, i changed the front pads around 10000, rears are still original. i have just spoken to a mate and will have the car on ramps tomorrow, so will hopefully find out whats going on. cheers for the info all.
  12. hi all, need some help and advice. i have been recently getting some grinding noises intermittently when i hit the brakes and feels like my pads are low. when i drive off after letting off the brakes i can hear some metal turning and then dissapears. I recently changed my front pads to ds2500 in january and checked the front pads yesterday, they are fine and have enough pad left. I didnt have time to check the rears, should a light come on, if the rears are low too?? has anyone else had this prob or does anyone know what it could be?? grateful for any advice. thanks
  13. no worries, will wait for your details then, i am not in an immediate rush to buy now, just checking out prices too.
  14. sorry, just seen this thread now, but is this group buy still on, i'd like to add my name if possible and get any other details. thanks
  15. No, its a white bar frame, they dont look like the average speed cameras, like i have seen on the M1.
  16. Anyone seen these new style small white cameras that are popping up, They tend to place three of them across the bar and mostly seen them by gatso cameras. So far west london, hayes bypass and some north london... does anyone know what they are being used for? cant be speeding if they are facing the oncoming driver.. unless these are some new hi tech stuff...
  17. exactly there really is a need for these companies to adhere to some standards. Everytime i call the solicitor which i have now given up since last year, told me, they are waiting for various people to go out and check the lights, road conditions etc, how Bl**dy long does that take to do..!! not 4 years.!! changing insurance providers is what i did, but would love to see my excess back though right now, of £450. although i did push them to get my car repaired by BMW themselves and not some "approved recommended" garage. might dig out the paperwork and start calling them again next week.
  18. Agree, i had my accident in oct 2003, still waiting.....

that is not a bad price, i just took mine in today at nissan eltham, for P2, and they are charging me, £210 and i am supplying my oil.. they gave me a nissan note as courtesey car. lol
  21. i changed mine around the 12k or 14k mark, i work in central london though. i am coming upto 18k and the feel like they need changing again.. will get it all checked out when p2 is due.
  22. yeah i have heard that from a few people too. only reason i rang them was i am always in south east or west london, just wanted to get an idea of the price for it...
  23. yeah defo not taking to WLN, might just do the eltham branch for £250 and then get the oil knocked off for it, at least better than WLN. if i had the time, i would get upto manchester if possible...
