  3. Cheers for that So does this look ok? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Netgear-54-Mbps-W ... dZViewItem I want a good one with a big enough range to use my laptop in my office and living room. I dare say that one will be fine. As I said, I'm no expert. Read some reviews on that Netgear one to be sure. Also, first thing to do when you hook your router up is to encrypt it. (to stop other people doing what you're doing just now ) One thing (amoungst millions of other things) that is boggling my little mind is when I get it and set it up. Will I connect the current modem directly into the wireless router? Will i need to make any changes to my subscription or inform Tiscali, or is it nothing to do with them how my laptop actually recieves its internet question?
  4. Nobody said you've done everything wrong You have to think like a woman If you buy flowers only when you've done something wrong then they are worthless. Buy flowers for no reason at all, and your the man Well untill she finds my footy boots in the bath
  5. Thanks for all the input guys Looking at this (gratuitous) pic...... I don't think I am going to bother lowering it
  6. Cheers for that So does this look ok? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Netgear-54-Mbps-W ... dZViewItem I want a good one with a big enough range to use my laptop in my office and living room. That's fine but bear in mind that you need something on your PC/laptop to pick-up the signal .. there are 3 options for this 1. You have a laptop which has a built-in wireless facility. if so, you need nothing else, but check which spec of wireless it has because downloads speeds will be slower for older laptops (someone else will advise more here). You will need to start the Wireless Zero Connection (WZC) service on your PC ... http://paininthetech.com/disable_wirele ... windows_xp (but enable not disable) 2. You have a laptop with a spare PCMIA slot - you need a wirless card to go in that slot (£25-£40). That's a neat tidy solution. Best to disable WZC if you have it in this case (see above) 3. You have a laptop or desktop or multiples. You need USB adapters for each one which plug into a USB port. My current laptop has wireless connectivity built in, as I am on-line now via (someone elses ) wireless connection, but its as slow as @*!# as the signal is very weak. Therefore can I assume that I just need a router like the one in the link above?

  10. Ok. I really need to get a wireless connection set up now that I'm working from home. I'm with Tiscali for my broadband connection. Been on their pages and they have these for sale: http://www.tiscali.dslshop.co.uk/produc ... roduct=472 Do I have to use one of their routers or can I get a netgear or similar router from eBay? If I do that what essential items do I need along with the router? TIA

  13. think that was replacing the hubs, not just the 180 degree spin repair You must be right. Well Nissan said they don't replace the hubs on newer cars anymore as Nissan reckon they have rectified the issue

  16. yeah yeah mate... your wheels were on Zeds since 2003... talk about being done over and over again (and in the UK too ) All that proves is that quite a few people have agreed with my choice previously but no one has had the diamond black finish Also, show me one picture of a uk zed with the sf challenge rims APART from Dorians

  18. Sure i remember someone paying about £800 to have it done I wonder what would happen if you just left it to click away? Mine is going in on Tuesday to have mine done. My dealer said that Nissan have told them that from now on any models newer than 55 plates should not need the components replacing and therefore now all they will do for mine is to just regrease them which is only a temporary fix
