  1. I am not 100% sure but that why I bought one. I have seen another Z with this badge on the back so I assumed so. If someone can let me know the space between the holes I can confirm. I am still waiting for my import...
  2. Car has 22,000 miles on it. Due in at Southampton next Friday I think, so I guess I still won't get it for a couple of weeks after that.
  3. I recently bought a few bits from the US for my Z and to offset the silly shipping costs and tax I bought a few extra bits to sell on: Large exterior Z emblem for rear boot lid: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0172867244 Removable centre console cup holder: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0172870030 I hope its o.k. listing ebay items, I couldn't see anything in the rules and stuff saying not to but if not o.k. then I apologise and obviously mods can remove this post. Thanks
  4. Thanks, its a T spec and its got a C-West kit, Racing Hart C4 wheels, Fujitsubo Exhaust and some sort of adjustable coilovers. Wheels are not quite to my taste tho so probably going to sell them and get something different.
  5. Hi there, I registered ages ago when I was first looking to get a Z, since then I bought a new house instead but now I have finally bought a Z. I imported one and unfortunately its still on its way. Not long now though...
  6. I got my FTO resprayed in nissan WV2 Gunmetal (normal metallic) for about £1500 from Modified Metal in Birmingham. Excellent job and well recommended, although I am not sure they actually do all the spraying themselves, I think they may just do all the prep work and use a local spray shop but not 100% sure. That was for a full respray from a standard metallic silver/grey and excluded engine bay but did include door shuts etc. Cost is going to depend on the type of paint/finish and the starting paint colour too - loads more prep and work if you want a complete colour change to something radical including the engine bay.
  7. You haven't said what size/profile etc they were so difficult for people to compare...
  8. Well, wouldn't a diesel be a better option then?
  9. Can't really comment on the Clio and don't really know what your requirements are but I am looking for a similar temporary replacement at the moment for similar money and am looking at the Seat Leon Cupra 20v. Over 200bhp, excellent spec levels and well regarded for performance, value and reliability. MPG is not too bad either. Obviously only disadvantage over the clio you are looking at is probably insurance group and therefore cost etc.
  10. I have voted for you, but only becuase it IS actually the nicest pic Contestant 3 has clearly got all his mates to vote cos its in the lead but to me it looks like quite a boring pic.
  11. Got a reply: Ruff Racing 279 in gunmetal (18" in pic) Look good but slightly dodgy name!
  12. Errr, what vote is that then? (i'm new here...)
  13. I have found the person who owns it following your tip-off! - 04RedlineZ. Sent him a message asking him for the details...
  14. Weren't you worried that any ex-demo would have been thrashed to buggery from brand new by anyone and everyone who test drove it?
  15. Looks far better than the old one but still not great, nice but nothing amazing. I think Chesterfields description is spot on tho http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/66456 ... eiled.html
  16. I looked at them, but kind of discounted that option now just becuase of the price - I have seen several private JDM import sales on autotrader for quite a bit less - and remember thats just the asking price. I think that is the way I am going to go, you dont have any hassles of importing/SVA'ing and you dont have the expense of a dealer. If you want a warranty then you can just get it yourself (its just insurance against mechanical failure at the end of the day) - dealers like that will just use a third-party warranty anyway, the difference being with the dealer is you wont be able to shop around for a good policy and you will be paying a premium for it. If you are worried about condition or problems etc then get an RAC/AA inspection - you can arrange one before you even go and see the car - can be well worth it (although obviously will cost you), they do a lot of checking and can usually spot any previous accident damage/resprays etc. Any issues on the report can be used during negotiations too (assuming you are still interested).
  17. The first ones are the new Rays alloys that are on the new 06 model I believe, not sure about the others.... Oops, no I meant TheMinel's second post, these wheels:
  18. Anyone know what those six-spoke alloys are in the first and second pics of TheMinel's post??? I have been looking for some six-spoke options for when I get my Z.
  19. Yep, some of the police stuff I see every day it really is quite depressing when you see what people generally get away with - typical example: loads of previous, multiple driving bans, involved in two accidents where people have *died*, yet still on the streets and known to be still regularly driving. HOW?!?!?! WHY!!?!?
  20. My company works primarily for the police and I see a lot of these sorts of reports - i.e. burglary for a car key or even worse, a burglary where they steal a load of your stuff and load it into your car and drive off. What with all the alarms and immobilisers nowadays its about the only way for scumbags to drive your car away. These reports involve all sorts of people like druggies, 14 year old scallys as well as "pro" car thieves. My advice is to buy a decent electronic key safe and bolt it to a wall in your hall and keep all your keys in there all the time you are not using them.
  21. There was a colour poll a while back: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... viewresult Does not look like that many people voted, but red came out lowest with only 1. I think the red can look great, but just not to everyones taste. I love the gunmetal and the blue but looking at the poll results so does everyone else!
  22. Nah not yet, gotta finish the house move so I can pay off the solicitors and pay the stamp duty and get the mortgage going, then I will know how much money I have left to spend! Should be enough for a 2002-2003 JDM. But not much to compare really, I know I want the tip-box and black leather, so other than that I guess it's just colour/spec/condition etc. Gonna look out for a private sale one rather than a fresh import tho. Been checking autotrader and there are usually one or two that look good in the right sort of price range.
  23. Just a post to say hello from a newbie :bye: I have finally decided on a Z to replace my FTO GPX - I love it but its time to move on... I really like the tiptronic box on the FTO so I will be looking to get a JDM import with the tip box, in gunmetal WV2 (I like that colour so much I had my FTO resprayed in it!) or maybe the azure blue... Just gotta complete my house move in the next month or so then I can start to look for my new toy...
