I've saved a small fortune buying JDM and at the end of the day it's the same car as a UK one, if some people really do feel that it's really that different then unlucky! ok you lose the warranty but my cars four years old already (doesn't look it) and therfore warranty would of expired anyway. I think we've gotta stop this turning our noses up at the import stuff ( I'm surely not the only member heere who feels the same way - maybe I am?) Second thing - I think most insurance companies are coming round to the idea that grey imports are not what they used to be and therefore there isn't much difference if any for insurance preimiums from JDM to UK. Third thing - the triptronic is probably as likely to fail as when your clutch does in a manual so don't think that's relevant. I do agree though, cars well over priced, more likely a typo error and should read £26k ? even that I think is steep! Anyone fancy ringing them to confirm?

All in good condition. Car / wheels have covered around 10,000 miles I'd say and two have been curbed ever so slightly. Am selling due to recent upgrade to 18" UK GT ones. As the title suggests, by in large do you find that in general fellow Zed drivers you see on your travels acknowledge you in the form of flashes, waves etc?? My experience suggests this is the case however the past couple of weeks I've noticed a change, like Sunday I saw a Blue Zed opposite side of road coming towards me - flashed him/her they definately saw the car but drove on without any return. Doesn't really bother me I suppose but wondered what other people's experiences were?

just been to Halfords, they do a clear paint lacquer for about six squids. Would this be more or less the same thing do you know?

No chance - not spending quarter of that! Might go another route and paint them and get some de-cat Brembo stickers to put on - think that's a bit chav?

Ok - I'm slightly confused. My speedo obviously has a chip to convert to MP/H and has the K blacked out with tape as previously mentioned, and like everyone else with a JDM the odometer displays KM/H but obviously speed is determined in MP/H - Right? So when I bought my JDM it had 8500 miles on the clock. I have now got on my display 14500 miles. What is my correct total mileage I have covered? I thought it is what my speedo says it's done - 14500? or would it be less - i.e. determined from when the car was SVA'd (example if my car was SVA'd on 8500 miles this was actually a KM figure - and therefore 14500 miles showing now includes a 8500 KM figure also? ) Again - I hope this makes enough sense for someone to clarify. I guess it doesn't really matter but wouldn't mind knowing for piece of mind I suppose? Cheers Nick
