Thanks M13KYF, it's when you press the button it sort of uncatches but something is locking in the centre catch preventing you from opening up, wondered if it could be something simple like a bit of WD40? Interesting D4V3 GT4 - Only had a spoiler fitted fairly recently, but seem to remember having this problem before but not as noticeable?! Why / how would this make a difference?

How easy are these to fit? and what kind of price should I maximise my bid at? Never had one but wouldn't mind changing the sound from the exhaust!

Anyone having a problem oppening the boot? like up-to three attempts to open in most cases. I remember this being covered off before - did a seacrh under boot release,, boot problem, and boot! but no joy. Doing my head in!

I might be being extremely thick here - but are we talking about checking oil like you would do on a non Tiptronic car?

I guess this has been covered before - I've had a search though without joy!! maybe it's my computer?? Regarding the oil gauge on the dashboard. What should healthy levels be/. I know the manual says the higher the revs the higher the pressure but can anyone elaborate on that? Mine tends to be over the halfway mark if I'm going relatively high speeds, and around the quarter for low speeds - should this be right? Thanks

I actually liked the Bose stuff in my JDM import apart from the lack of radio reception!! Take our advice buy a cheapish or second hand head unit and keep the Jap Bose just in case when you come to sell the car they insist on the original kit! Cheers

Got to get me one of these!! but the fun one is the clour rear camera, and the stealth button to activate it hidden in the floor of the cubby hole. Where did you get this from????? Also on the subject of Ipods - certain Alpine head units havve an option where you can buy an Ipod connector think they are about £50 - you simoply get someone to install preferably next to your phone connector in the middle compartment so no-one can see it - it's fantastic!! Not to fantastic is how do you delete tracks on your itunes??? when you right click on the track you wanna delete with your mouse there is no facility to delete!! Sorry not relevant but on my mind this morning so thought I post!!! Anyone?

got my ipod connector sitting right next to my phone adaptor in the middle compartment - great bit of kit! If anyone knows if the JDM Zeds are able to utilise their phone adaptor & steering wheel controls for this then that would be even better?!!

Cheers Windy. Got an ok deal in the end. But it p**s you off that so many drivers aren't insured!! What if that person who drove into my parked Zed wasn't insured!!! I'd of had to of paid up through my insurance and would of pushed it up even further. If you ask me the Police should concentrate more on this kinda crime than putting up speed / sense cameras all over the motorways!! Not a direct stab on them but it really get my goat!!!!

Guys, Update - Managed to get a quote for £500 in the end with Privilege but with £400 voluntary excess Interesting point about not saying or highlighting online about it being a Fairllady! I triple checked the quote with the fella from Privilege and that I am defo covered under the car being called Nissan 350z so not sure what's goin on there??? Buy anyways thank's very much for your advice & feedback. Hopefully this thread will help out other owners. Really pays to shop around with insurance!!! Cheers all Nick

Hi all, Hope you can offer advice / reccomend. My insurance is up for renewal 21st Jul (2 days time) I've been around the blocks trying to get a quote on my Fairlady Z and I'm getting silly quotes which were making me luagh - now I'm beginning to see the serious side of things!! You may recal I had a learner driver go into my car in April this year, and it's only just been settled (Third party admitted responsibility and my excess is now recovered). However my insurance (Elephant) have given me a renewal price of £870 which I just can't understand. I grilled them about it but their answer was connected with the claim (depsite my bonus being protected etc...) and general rise in insurance all together. Never the less this price is far too high, and as I get older I expect premiums to either reduce or stabilise at-least! I'm 31, with over 13 years NCD protected, I have no points (3 points just expired) and my postcode has been known to be fine in the past. Why can I not find a half decent quote?? Also why just because it's an import I have to have a tracker with some insurances whilst UK Zed's don't? (I checked by altering details on some websites). I've searched previous posts but I guess this is more of a personal plea for help!!! Is there any insurance company out there prepared to offer a competitive quote. Looking around the £500 figure as a max, as this seems to be the general norm for quotes on this forum?!! Cheers all
